"Following the disclosure of the stolen NSA documents, terrorists are changing how they communicate to avoid surveillance."
Then please stop the surveillance. It doesn't work with the terrorists since they have changed how they communicate and you only get communications from innocent citizens.
You still don't get it. The terrorists who are changing how they communicate to avoid surveillance are us. There is no such thing as "innocent citizens".
The Easterner will leave his seat, To pass the Apennine mountains to see Gaul: He will transpire the sky, the waters and the snow, And everyone will be struck with his rod."
And also: Through an object the eye will swell very much, Burning so much that the snow will fall: The fields watered will come to shrink, As the primate succumbs at Reggio.
Here, the easterner who transpires Snow is clearly Snowden. And, obviously, the NSA are the primates.
Clearing 90% of an extremely rare but potentially apocalyptic event.
"We're happy to report that, with this program, of all the meteorites that would destroy Earth in the next century, only one in ten will end humanity."
What do the true experts think? Where is the Slashdot poll on this topic? Is systemd programmed in COBOL? Did its development follow the innovative FDD? (Fear-Driven-Development, for those who don't follow the hottest new trends)
I know essentially nothing of the subject but that won't stop me from giving my opinion.
The benefits of independence are social/cultural/emotional while the benefits of staying together are practical/economical.
I believe they should just stay while using the current situation to get more "practical independence", i.e.: more control over the union's government, taxing and expenses.
If employees stay while working 18-hour/day, 6 day/week, it's because they are unable to find a better job. Thus, they have the best job they can find. So, there is no reason for the corporation to change their ways.
Therefore, the problem lies not in the current job but in the job offer. Thus, to solve it, the employee needs to find a way to get better offers: - Develop new skills/ get new knowledge - Switch city/country - Self employment
Solutions based on forcing the current job to become individually better won't usually work as long as the change is local. (A local union, for example, will simply make external corporations more profitable and able to offer a better salary for the same job). Solutions based on forcing ALL corporations to become a better workplace are usually too slow from a personal PoV.
It's not overblown. People simply care more about the technology they bought than about whether some people are enslaved some thousand miles away. And you do to, so don't be a hypocrite.
I don't dispute the recognition of a random chance of nasty boulder on the landing spot. I do dispute the vague quantification of such risk.
I wouldn't have a problem with "The chosen spot has an estimated 2% chance of unavoidable crashing conditions.". However, "a good slice of luck" doesn't belong at news about arguably the recent highest engineering achievements of humanity.
Can you imagine how interesting these problems will get once humanity stops sharing a single atmosphere?
I predict the first human colony will be killed by terrorist bio-attack.
Don't be silly. Mondays and New Coke predate Snowden.
On the Star Wars Prequels... Hmm... I think your theory merits further investigation.
Meh. My post was still more relevant, true and accurate than the NSA's declarations.

This was clearly predicted by Nostradamus:

To pass the Apennine mountains to see Gaul:

Well, I would have noticed it if they didn't insist on concealing it!
Or, alternatively, the envelope got so big it doesn't fit Wheeler's mailbox anymore.
AT&T and Verizon, always pushing for a quicker response to client needs, are installing a larger mailbox at this very moment.

He clearly doesn't understand Linux.

I took COBOL, early 2000s. Best on my "promotion". Years later I still see it as "what I'll do to avoid homelessness and for no other reason".
Read this and then go back to your original post.
real actual slavery that still exists in the world
As someone who demands precision, you should consider using real actual grammar that still exists in the world.
It says a lot about Quickflix that their CEO just told their remaining clients how to go to the competition.
If stupid was flammable we'd have already seen the flash and soon would come the boom.
But it's 5 days of millions of people. So it's centuries of their souls, compared to just some years.
U2 should pay the soul difference. Preferably not in music. Please.

It's worse than that.
It's "I'll punch everyone in the face just as strong as before, but everyone votes to decide which side I'll hit."
You are connected to Internet. What's the point on duplicating information?
If you don't understand a term, you can search its explanation yourself.

Maybe the second "average" was "over time".
(I know. I'm a naive optimist.)
