HDMI 2.0 went official only a couple of months ago and none of the sets on the market today support it, so you're limited to 24p. In short, the TV is obsolete the moment you buy it. It's the dumbest purchase you could possibly make right now (in regards to a TV). I would also add that if you have an AV receiver, then you will need to upgrade that to a new model that has HDMI 2.0 as well, and they don't exist either.
How do you know how hard "xcode apps by lone developers" are hitting the hardware? Benchmarks are designed to push the device to its limit. Apps are designed to provided other purposes that may, at times, stress the device. It's too very different scenarios. I would fully expect a benchmark to cause the device to work to it's maximum and generate the strongest battery draw and the most heat.
The encryption is for security purposes. But of course you can come up with a conspiracy theory that they put it in just to foil benchmarks.
In short, you have provided no evidence that anything nefarious is actually happening.
I've used Outlook nearly my entire career and I don't see anything about it that makes it especially well suited to corporate use (at least as a user). In fact, I've never enjoyed using it. It's a mediocre product companies seem to use for the simple reason that nobody is going to get fired for picking Outlook. My guess is that these employees are just used to it and people hate change. I've never worked with anyone that's ever praised Outlook.
One of the greatest problems with capitalism is the concentration of wealth which comes with a concentration of power. How do you suggest we solve that rather huge problem?
Yeah, I love puppet's JSON interface which is royally fucked up because if you write legal JSON, then puppet doesn't work. You have to use their fucked up version of JSON. I know they have a Ruby interface now too but it wouldn't surprise me if they fucked that up as well. Seriously, how do you fuck up JSON?!?!
The point of currency is to act as a neutral form of barter. Bitcoin doesn't really fit that category because it's not neutral in that it's value is only to a select group of individuals. Outside of that, it's utterly worthless.
It's not changing anywhere of any consequence. It's still mostly nerds, libertarians, and criminals that like it. When the average guy on the street has even heard of bitcoin, then we have something to talk about.
Sorry but It's not currency. It's not backed by any government or official body of any kind. It's just a sophisticated form of barter. It's as much of a currency as my old iPad that I sell to someone on craigslist or send into BestBuy for credit.
I was going to say wake me when they make a Toyota that can actually keep me awake. They truly make the most boring mass market cars on the planet to drive. Quite an achievement IMHO given their resources.
You're the one who came up with this non-interventionalism crap -- not me. So you're straw manning yourself. I've actually read a history book or two so I'm pretty clued in on European imperialism. Don't be a condescending ass like a typical Brit, please.
lol...I'm more aware of the Five Eyes program than you are. And your government does the same fucking thing.
Spying isn't intervention. It's intelligence gathering. It's what you do with that intelligence that determines whether there's any "intervention" involved.
They do but none of them use Turbo Tax. Their stuff is A LOT more expensive than that. On a side note, modern pro tax programs all support an outsourcing button where all your shit gets sent to India to be computed. I recommend you verify with any accountant you use (in writing) that they do not outsource your tax forms.
1) We weren't as non-interventionalistic as you think.
2) Even if were were, I don't see how spying on foreigners, in any way, precludes that. One could argue that it could help you remain non-interventionalistic.
3) Your point to is invalidated by my previous points in the same way that your first point was.
By numerous, you mean four. Only one of them was intentionally targeted (take a wild guess which one). Your notion of numerous and mine are very different.
Apparently you have never seen one in person. It makes HD look like SD.

You mean like any government bond? Guess what currency Eurobonds are paid in.

WTF do they need Java for?
Amiga OS ftw!
How has the US abused its control over the internet? Please don't say spying because the US doesn't have to control the internet to make that happen.
"...we learned that the Dear Leader and his administration are still horribly incompetent. They also lie badly."
Sounds just like the republicans to me. Both parties can eat shit, imo.
Read it more carefully. Bitcoin isn't actually tied to physical money in any way.

That still doesn't make it a currency.

Um no...where does the source say anything about them doing it for the USA? Let me help you...NOWHERE.
News flash: ECHELON
Since the 60's it's been going on. The only thing that's changed is the technology to improve on what they had already been doing.

Thanks for sharing that. I've always wondered how people use these devices.
If you're still using Coldfusion, you deserve to get hacked.
