    If your hypothesis is correct then only half of the posts here are posted by college educated individuals.

    My business partner has a degree in Business Studies.

    He still uses loose for lose, confuses their, there and they're, confuses your and you're, end statements with question marks such that I don't know if he is passing information on to me or requesting it such as : "you've not been answering your phone today?"

    Makes him look a bit thick and I wonder what our clients think of his correspondence.

    "do what thou wilt" is the OpenBSD creed and the GPL is incompatible with that, what's your problem ?

    do we really need a CVS clone, where the only difference is the license?

    When the "we" is OpenBSD then the answer is yes.

    If you are not part of that "we" then the question is pointless.

    The English plural for virus was decided a long long time a go; it is viruses.

    *If* there were anything living on Mars in the first place, it would die long before we ever knew it got here.

    Thanks for that, there is only one sort of bacteria, and it lives in sulphuric acid at 300C. There can be NO other lifeform ergo we are all safe.
