stop living the great saver dream.in 1941 it would have just meant the war would go on a bit longer.there's no freaking way you could have conquered Europe...or the USA for that matter and rule it as a whole with force. The times of sticks and stones are over. but it's still funny to see every silly american use the WWII line as a means to justify all the crap America has pulled since. The fact is you play the world police where no policing is needed....and for some reason the countries you attack seem to have something in common lately...oil.That doesn't really help your credibility what so ever. As far as bringing democracy to them....if democracy is what you have in the USA just keep it to yourselves.Other countries actually still know what democracy means. And it's not idiotic laws proposed by Bush or Tony Blair in order to take away your freedom under the excuse that this is for your own good because of the terrorists....which are amazingly the problem just because of this great democratic politics the USA is playing. Do us a favour and go protest in front of the White House and stop writting your "america is great" speeches on the internet. When you stop bombing people...selling weapons to countries that can't even feed their own people(Russia does that too...and we all know how much you like being compared to the communists...). When you actually get one bill passed to lower polution....when you stop shoving genetically "improved" crops that can't grow into anything down poor countries mouths...when you stop selling big ass V8 or v16 fuel gozzlers and start selling some eco friendly cars...when your unemployment rate isn't as low as it is now....when your kids aren't on tv every month for shooting schoolmates and teachers(you don't see this anywhere else...not even in the "crazy" muslim countries).Well when you achive any of these then you can actually start being smart about what the world would be like without the USA. Right now it would be better off. There would be a collapse of the market but once that was over everything would be pretty much NICE. I bet even the muslims would get on for a change. Sure they'd probably destroy Israel...but a small American made country on foreign soil being destroyed is a small price to pay for peace. One everyone in the world would be glad to pay except for...yes you guessed it the USA. So let's add:when your country's ellections aren't based on the vote of one religion(the jews btw). Then you can be a democratic country. Until then you're just another puppet show.

because microsoft is not going to sell XP anymore and sooner or later people will have to switch to vista or the next OS. the fact remains that the only reason why people are complaining about switching to Vista is crappy hardware. In 1 year that will probably change since most people will upgrade their machines...and new hardware runs vista just fine. Now getting stuck with selling XP would mean they would both have to support it for years to come. And i'm not talking about the "technical" support microsoft will be offering for a few more years. You sell them Vista+give them xp.When they upgrade the hardware they can switch to vista. I honestly think XP should be killed off. There should be more work on a vista service pack but SP3 should be the final support for XP.

the only people who don't actually seem to get the point of different rendering modes are: -kids -firefox kids -unemployed jackasses -employed people who actually don't realise how much of a pain it would be for web developers to keep web pages working in all browsers every year...with every new version. the aproach of just "fixing" rendering...telling everybody to go f. themselves and fix the webpages so they render in the new engine is an approach only firefox and other browsers with a small % of users can do. Firefox has a rebel comunity which actually spends more time browsing porn sites and blogs than actually making web pages. So they are quite happy to upgrade to a new version every bloody day. Internet Explorer however is used in large companies(i don't suppose you actually noticed that ie is the only browser that can have group policy applied to it and keep every user in the network under control?),and has largest % of internet users. Then let's not forget the fact that windows is not free.Don't for a second forget the millions of dollars companies throw at microsoft every year to keep their companies running on their software. The moment microsoft would try to go with the "rebel approach" and just create a new rendering engine announcing on microsoft.com :"fix your webpages...or f. off"...sites would crash, software made to run in a browser could stop working(every seen one of those CRM or god forbid...payment systems used by real stores made in html and ajax?...). All those crappy pages would break...developers would quit their jobs after a week of angry customers who's webpages got finished years ago...just so some freaking firefox kid would be happy about compliance he doesn't even know squat about. Not to mention he doesn't even know almost no browser fully supports any of those standards. He probably doesn't even realise that 99% of the webpages he visits daily spit on wc3 or any other standard.Yet he expects the browsers to fully support every standard so that HE can make his silly "hello my name is Joe" page. Get a clue. The only thing you should be praying for is a mode in ie8 or ie10 that comes as close as possible to rendering a webpage according to specifications AND still keeps other rendering modes in there for the sake of backwards compatibility. Something small time web browsers don't have to worry about.

How come must windows users and programmers have no problem with this or OO? For one anything microsoft throws out is well documented and for some reason microsoft actually produces products that work.Especially for developers. Do you actually believe windows developers actually want to touch OO? No. Microsoft is a giant it may have business practices that you don't like. But in the end it makes development easier. Another reason why you linux dwarfs are years behind the competition. Too busy in fighting some imaginary crusade on standards and doing absolutely nothing in implementing it or actually prodicing development tools that would increase the number of developers your platform has. This is why this certification WILL happen. It's just a matter of time when. Microsoft takes care of developers.Developers are the ones who make this who software word turn around. And no matter what some of the anti-microsoft trolls have to say if developers choose 1 standard...that one will stick. Not even Hillary Clinton can change that. You simply can't froce someone to use a standard just because you think it's more fair. It's about documentation, support and tools. And face it...that is a field where microsoft has no competition. Googling up for solutions and looking them up in forums(do i hear linux users trying to say smth?) is not acceptable.

As far as compatibility goes the problem could simply be that in the year 2007 there are still a bunch of CHEAP companies that are 2 CHEAP to upgrade their working DOS software from 1995 and blaiming Everything since Windows 98 for their problems. Here in my countries i see entire companies on Vista including developers who run more software on Vista that most of these so called IT professionals have even heard of...with no freaking problems what so ever. And the most frustrating thing about these companies is the fact that they hire any bafoon who sends them an email that gives the apperance of actual computer knowledge...then they blindly believe anything this genius tells them. No bloody wonder you have a few hundred thousand machines that have licensed copies of Norton Antivirus and secretaries that can't even send out mail because these idiots block all the ports...incoming and outgoing but forget to set up their mailserver so that's actually not an open relay. But nobody notices because he is the all mighty "IT PROFESSIONAL". These polls should be banned all together. They keep people from upgrading 2 good software and are the biggest reason why people fear to install linux based servers in their companies. And yes I still say Vista is more stable than any previous version of windows and that the only GOOD reason to hesitate with an upgrade is possible pricing problems. That's what the end users need to start bitching about. Not security and not stability.Because these are currently NOT a problem...as most unix supporters who don't know jack about jack would like to have us all believe.
