    Until you have the hardware to run DX10 in full details (i7 CPU) what is the point in having a DX10 OS?

    I still have problems with my overclocked dual core at 3.3Ghz to run all the DX9 games at full details at 60FPS.

    And XP is usually faster for DX9 games then Vista or Win7 is.

    So, until I can get an overclocked i7 at 4.0Ghz I'll stick to DX9 and WinXP. Since why overclock to gain FPS and lose them with Vista / Win7?

    This is for games, so please M$ lovers don't bash me. And no I don't play games below 50FPS, this is why GTA 4 is waiting for a new system.

    I cannot comment on this specific issue, but I use Perl to do all the repetitive queries and sort them into a file.
    The file is then read by IIS and can be seen by typing http://servername/ or just servername in the browser.
    IIS is setup to display list.txt by default.

    Casual is somebody who is not addicted, but how much time defines one or the other depends on who you ask.

    Generally speaking causal is who puts RL before the game.

    Meh, I don't even reinstall windows when I change motherboard and I never use any anti-virus or similar crap. The oldest files in my system are from 2004.

    If you know what you are doing you don't need to reinstall any OS.

    But of course if you don't want to waste your time to understand an OS, a reinstall makes sense.

    It's the same as DRM, some doesn't care and eventually they get cut off. I buy only stuff I can use when and where I want.

    No company will switch to a brand new OS, just because M$ said so. Win7 even if it is the right choice will have to be tested first.

    At best we will see some mayor deployment in 1 year.
