Who modded this up? Numerous scientific studies have shown that time of birth does not affect any cognitive, behavioral or physical traits.

That explains perfectly why the US (with a loosely regulated telecom industry) has so much better bandwidth than those evil socialist nations of Japan and Sweden.
Yes, Finland is an extremely dense country with no rural areas.
Don't be a dumbass, the whole "density" argument is obviously false. hell, even Canada which is one of the least dense countries in the world, has better internet than the US.
Seriously? Theft? Are you seriously that brain dead? I'll give you a hint: When I steal a CD, someone is now missing a CD. When I make an illegal copy of a CD, no one else is affected.
The Westboro church goes to public places to express their beliefs. It doesn't matter if there's a funeral, it doesn't matter if their views are batshit-insane, it doesn't matter if they're doing it "just" for publicity, it doesn't matter if people find their views offensive. What does matter is that expressing beliefs in public spaces is a fundamental human right and their silencing is a blow against this precious right.
FWIW: I don't think you can get a restraining order against protesters (pesky first amendment)
Your comment on small businesses is totally wrong.
Business expenses are deductible. It does not matter if the business is organized as a sole proprietorship, a partnership or a corporation.
Violence, fuck yeah! Only an idiot would think that the silencing of expression by the threat of violence is in anyway good. Replace Westborough Church with some group you like/believe in and you'll see how barbaric your comment is.
Actually in Canada the official opposition (Liberals) and our left-wing party (NDP) have come out in opposition to this bill.
The inability for corporations to donate to federal political parties helps eliminate some of the more obvious forms of bribery. (All parties past a certain threshold are funded using tax dollars - there are also very low limits on individual contributions and no contributions at all from corporations/unions/etc)
Even though you've been modded troll, I still thought your post was funny.
For those without a clue: John McCain's website has a list of quotes his supporters are supposed to use on blogs/forums. Parent's post is one of them. This was covered on/. (probably more than once)
I certainly hope you are joking. Maybe in SanFran or New York City no one cares, but for the vast majority of americans it is very important. See:
First TV appearance with McCain and Obama - hosted by a pastor, discussion on "faith" issues. That only 18% of americans would vote for an athiest for president (compared to 90+ percent for blacks and women). Hell, even being muslim polls above being an athiest. blah, blah, etc.
Read up on "SoundExchange"
All radio stations who play any music at all (in the US) are forced to turn over x cents/play to this organization. If an artist is registered with SoundExchange they get the money, if not, SoundExchange keeps it or gives it so some industry group.
Some of the ads (job postings in SF, and some other cities along with apartments in New York) cost money.
That's the whole business model - everything else is free.
Plus the idea that the government would allow any non-trivial network operate without oversight and regulation is rather hilarious.
hahahaha oh wow. Cookie for you.

Because the bottom quartile owned a lot of Enron stock?
Copyright violation is theft.
You sir, are an idiot.

Maybe you shouldn't be storing other people's credit card / social security numbers if you don't have the infrastructure to protect it?
My university does this. Ugh.

Because there are many solutions to m mod n? Example X^2 = 1 mod 8 One solution: X^2 = 1, X = +/- 1 Another solution X^2 = 9 = 1 mod 8 X = +/-3 Etc ...
Pretty sure there are special calls for working within the kernel (kmalloc, kfree, etc)

I for one am shocked by such behavior from such benevolent corporations - they always act in the public interest!
John McCain, is that you?
Actually you can get refunds on food items from most big companies by calling their customer support line and claiming you weren't satisfied.
From the FTA: "copyright and trademark lawsuit" They are claiming copyright on the board design or something.
