    3 years ago a friend of mine ran the super bowl through a football game and ended up 2 points off, does anyone know what the accuracy of those games are compared to a "real" system like this?

    The thing that always strikes me as funny about these kinds of things is that for 99% of the class the prof. is really just repeating what he learned long ago. It's like allot of rich people today saying "you can't mooch off me! I earned everything I have", except their Harvard education and 2 million dollar start up fund daddy gave them.

    I had a similar thing happen when i offered to let a girl go in front of me in line. I just told her it was obvious she wanted my bod and she obviously was offended to cover up the fact the she was getting wet just talking to me.

    You can't buy a used motorcycle of any size in the US for $2,500. I bought my bike, a 1985 Honda shadow 700, for 1,000$ with 9,000 miles on it off eBay, and I regularly see better deals on craigslist. This new Indian Car strikes me as being a updated bug, especially the part where they say peoples car.

    Which also begs the question: if other country's don't respect our IP laws on things like code and software by gouging our citizens aren't we really giving other countrys a leg up?

    I was Waiting for sombody to say this! it's the lack of content to maintain grossly high profit margins that is killing the papers. I have seen a rapid growth of papers that focus ONLY on the local news and editorials on national events. They now as well, as everybody else, your reading CNN about floods in china, it's the stuff you can't find, like wine tastings, rock concerts, and D.A. coruption where the monyes at tomarrow, and the media be it blogs or paper isn't the deal breacker. It's selling people information they can't get on their own, so the journalist goes out and gets it. That is the industry, not all this hype about blogs and news, it's making a product and selling it.

    If we were to automate cars the left two lanes of most freeways would be vacant. I commute on a motorcycle and have observed the ins and outs of traffic (what with my life depending on it and all) and those people are seriously F-ed in the head, I propose a formula for the mathematicians to try that will give the real reason for traffic: Norman Person + oversized vehicle + minor competition = Total Fuckwad. Basically these people should be killed for our national security: 3,620 people die monthly due to automobile accidents, while 2,974 died from 9/11.

    All this is dependent on your community not being a bunch of T.V. addled scared to death debtors who view your knocking on their door as the precursor to a home invasion robbery. So in a democracy where the people are participants you'd be spot on, but in most suburbs I've seen, police are something foisted on them, not so much a communal agreement, by the whimsy of a mayor elected by 8% of the population trying to get more funding.

    This is all so dumb arguing about DRM and everything for these devices, when the truth is in two years time you'll be able to buy the chines knock-off for far less and do whatever the F you want with it, and nobody can do a damn thing to stop it.

    OMG! This totally gives me an idea for a book about a futuristic amusement park where dinosaurs are brought to life through advanced cloning techniques. I'll call it "Billy and the Cloneasaurus."
