Not if he was using DD-WRT. There's a bug in DD-WRT with certain routers that causes your Mac address to default to a generic one - the same MAC as several other people across the globe. His must be the current one listed in the database, but his isn't necessarily the only one with that MAC.
If it's tied to one computer, it's not what I want to do. I just want, no matter where I am, for my posts to one social network to be there for friends on all of them. But also no matter which device I use.
If you use proprietary Apple API's, I don't believe they allow you to release your source code. It wouldn't be open source. They would have to release that version closed source, which they can't do if they don't own the code.
Ha, it's your generation that pays for stuff that has ads in it too (cable TV)! Though it's the newer generation that pays for satellite radio instead of listening to ad-supported free radio...
There's some serious distortion as you move around that image, too. Reminds me of the original DOS version of Tomb Raider. The 3D just wasn't quite right. Takes nothing away from the ball, but the stitching technique needs work.
On the contrary, I thought Buzz had BECOME the "wall" in Google+. I guess I was wrong. They were virtually the same thing. Now, I guess I need to find a way to have my Twitter posts automatically post to Google+ instead of Buzz.
Wow...so I forgot a little bit of what they wanted done. I'm really bad about picking out trolls here, but what do you have against me and why are you assuming I'm lying?
Computer power has nothing to do with sending out email. And you actually misquoted me. I didn't have to upgrade my hardware. I think I had a backscatter problem (trying to stay RFC-compliant) that once fixed via a software update/upgrade, they wouldn't take us off the list without going through something like senderscore or something. I don't remember the details. I just remembered it being far easier to get a new IP than dealing withthem.
Spammer? No. I remember them wanting me to do this or that that was fairly expensive for a small hosting service. Not paying money to them, but it costing us more money than we could reasonably spend. In the end, we updated our server and then got a new static IP. The only emails we ever sent out were opt-in to a subscriber list of 3,000 or less.
That's INCORRECT configuration. Postini users have completely different MX records than sending SMTP servers. Postini has a fairly large customer base. I'm not even sure if Gmail's sending IP's are in their MX.
They have an agenda that has value to them, and they're forcing it on you "or else." So they're not receiving money. That doesn't mean it's not blackmail. This case isn't about spam. They blocked the spammer.
It's not a consultant if your server is set to blindly follow whatever they say. And if you've ever tried to remove yourself from Spamhaus without spending lots of money, then you wouldn't understand how unreasonable they can be.
You can't copyright facts. A person's face is a fact as much as their fingerprint is. Once it's distilled into purely factual data, they can't really claim ownership of it, since that's effectively claiming ownership of my face.
Yeah - It's Python. No mention of that in the summary. My first thought was that it used WebSockets to make a connection to the real server, not an intermediate server. Shouldn't that be possible with a little more robust coding??
Checking for a matching reverse DNS that matches a forward DNS. Not all reverse DNS resolves forward. Apparently my ISP does that. Stupid ISP. Of course it's a consumer ISP and they block port 25 inbound AND outbound. That's right, they don't even want me RECEIVING spam for myself.
child porn.
Logmein tracks IP address changes through the client software.
The accuracy certainly depends on the number of wifi hotspots currently in range, I'd think.

Can't believe I never noticed that. Thanks for clarifying.

Or get 2, 3 or 4 accounts to rack up things in Farmville on their main account.
2*36 if it's done right...
And the data should be there - they just need a much more advanced image stitching system.

There's an app for that!
Don't forget CoverFlow in that list. Separate product that used to run as a plugin for iTunes. Now they've based Finder around it.

Well, they might not kill the whole subnet. I'll admit they're only one ethical step above the mafia, though.
Oh, right. I guess that's why they don't just call it Sockets. Still a misleading summary.
