I've probably spent about $50 total on apps. I am a sucker for games (174 games on my steam account). When I was going to get rid of my 3gs I fully intended to get an android phone...and I just didn't like any of my options at the time. This is a comment on me being lazy, not about the quality of the android phones.
Anyway, the point I am making is that I wonder how much people really care about losing their apps when switching? It didn't factor into my choice, but I don't really care about my phone all that much, I may be an outlier.
Face it, Apple fans, you're time has come. The iPhone is in decline, iOS 6 is an unmitigated disaster, and Android is going to reign supreme. The writing has always been on the wall, now it's finally coming to pass.
Man, phones mean a lot to you. I am sure that apple fanboism drove you to this....but look at what you just said.
I don't think you understand how it works. High deductible health insurance is great for people with regular, recurring medical costs. Anything you go see the doctor for counts towards your deductible. If you aren't dumb, you work out what you are going to have to spend every year on those recurring costs, and you pay (pre-tax) enough into your HSA/FSA to cover that.
I have hit my deductible before. It reminds me of the insurance I had thru my dad when I was a kid. Walk in, walk out, done.
A lot has been made over how long a provider is legally required to keep your records. While I am sure it happens that they don't keep them, I bet as many do as don't.
their backend software and behind the scenes hardware is usually ten year old equipment living on life support.
I work on the other side of them moving off of that ten year old equipment, and it probably isn't worth it. The difference between the charges getting to the payer in a Ferrari or a Ford mean absolutely nothing to them whatsoever. I also hear the quotes hospitals/providers get from companies for their new software/server package and am just astounded that anyone would pay for it.
You should move out of the IT side and learn as much as you can about billing. It is almost easier than working in IT and you will make more money if you are good at it.
The rebels have no/weak defenses against air power. Stinger missles would equalize air power vs rebels (who had no power here before), allowing them to strike against the air power. (?)
Makes sense to me, but I have been playing Panzer Corps pretty heavily lately.
I am thinking that is a no. Ofc, we could find out for sure by rigging something up and trying to fly it where we aren't supposed to (assuming that you are in America). Actually, I will let you learn that lesson on your own.
Step 1: Iran builds bomb.
Step 2: All other nations leave them the hell alone due to the fact they fear the bomb.
Step 3: Iran is free to run itself as it sees fit or at least attempt to do so without direct military threat coming from abroad.
A strategy that has worked out well for North Korea. Well, some of them anyway.
Letting them remain ignorant is the fastest way to ensure the propagation of DRM and walled gardens and the demise of unrestricted devices.
Case in point, that Apple line commercial that I can't stand.
Anyone who cares about it already knows the entire iOS/Android debate. But it is pretty amusing to me how they went about the pitch in that commercial. There is tons of ammunition if you want to argue about why an Android phone is better (and I am talking in terms of advertising. I don't personally give a shit), but when you only have a few minutes to get the lowest common denominator's attention....you have to stick with cool/uncool-pretty/not pretty.
Good luck educating them...."see you back at the studio". (A line from that commercial that is the part that I think I hate the most).
But I see people in meetings at work all the time with tablets in pretty cases furiously typing into them(they are all ipads here).......are you saying that those are just toys and those people are doing any real work?
otherwise they would manufacture it in a 3.5" format
The standard form factor for SSD's is 2.5" no matter how you intend to use them. I am not really commenting on what you say aside from that. I was honestly curious when I read that because I have never seen a 3.5" SSD (I haven't looked very hard). There are a few from OCZ on newegg but that's all a brief scan could find.
Platter drives fail like he describes all the time. Bad sectors usually, although I am sure it could be other things. If you are really poor, bored, or stranded with no replacement parts, you can save it with clever partitioning.....but it just isn't worth messing with that shit anymore. Just get another one.
So you want a hybrid? Every major manufacturer makes them. Most people who want a bike need a hybrid whether they realize it or not. I get asked for advice from people because I have several really nice bikes. They usually say that they want a mountain bike. I tell them all the same thing "I know that you think you will, but you almost certainly will never ride this offroad. You either will not, or you will one time and never will again.".
Instead, they insist on getting some monstrosity from a box store....never ride it offroad (a flat gravel or dirt trail does not count)....then hate riding because riding it on the road sucks.
I leave mine with my bike. Anyone who would steal it is welcome to the salty, perfectly shaped like my head and not theirs (I love my Bern) helmet that they obviously need more than I do.
Surely if I can get away with that in the midwestern US then you can too in Sweden?
I am going with escape goat from now on. That is much, much better. It even kinda fits with the meaning of the word.
I wonder if they have any insurance on this sort of thing, or some buffer in case they make a mistake in their estimates?
Crude oil production quotas and a limited refining capacity?

already posted, so I can't mod you....but I laughed.
I was curious. Google seems the think it's the same.

Those are just the ones you have? ;)

You aren't necessarily wrong, but you are enjoying a nice slice of Key Lime at about 40 thousand feet.
You looked in to high deductible? Doesn't work for everyone (although everyone is going to have it soon anyway), but I love it.

Early returns aren't looking good for him in terms of which one is being judged crazy.
I worked in election humor!

worse for your electronics than owning a longhaired cat
My cat was acquitted on all charges in the case of bad drive vs Orangie Orangejuice
Not my intention.
To anyone that doesn't speak English as a first language. This poster is either not American or is just plain dumb.
