    News flash, ALL insurance is there to screw you when you need it. Blue Cross and Blue Shield tried to DENY coverage of my daughter being born as a "unreported pre existing illness"

    Insurance companies have entire departments designed to find ways of screwing the payer.

    Agreed, that is why we use Linux for all our mission critical servers that make us money. Time is money and we dont have time to screw around with Windows and it's limitations.

    It cant be, the contractor they hired barely can code a website let alone one that needs to be load balanced and handle an entire nation as a portal for the healthcare. It will not be fixed until they hire the right company to do it, and it's not going to be the lowest bidder.

    They should. and claim they have well over 10 million employees. Then start a part of their website where you can ask to be an employee to get a free install of 8.1

    Suddenly the value of windows drops to the floor as you will have people flocking to become "employees" of the corporation and getting free install keys.

    It also helps that most people, especially people in power are technology morons that have no clue how any of it works nor has any desire to learn how it works, so it makes it even more effective, almost magical to them. When you are so much more educated than another person you take on an aura of being almost magical to them which also is a huge intimidation factor as well.

    I know a guy that does redbox, he owns 20 of them around here. he actually hits up walmart for his disks on release day as he can get them in the machines faster than waiting for the "official" disks to show up. so for about 4 days all the redbox machines around here have retail disks in them for the latest releases.

    Pipe dream.... Oracle and others rule the business software world. Microsoft has only two inroads, OS and the office suite. Everything else they sell is 3rd bananana or worse.

    The important parts of a business, the parts that make money or handle the money have NOTHING to do with microsoft products.
