So in a heavily republican controlled period, you get republican agenda judges. in a Democratic controlled period, you get Democrat agenda judges. We need more light rail for public transportation. Instead we rip up the train tracks and turn them into bike trails. Even small cities like the ultra tiny one I work in, only 550,000 people, can use light rail to connect the miniscule 100,000 people communities that are 30-50 miles away to it. wo raillines side by side to allow a loop of two trains would give you a MAJOR difference. But no, let's support the Auto industry by building roads that ned to be repaired every year.
There is not enough raw materials in a solar system to make a dyson sphere. Even if you completely consumed every planet, asteroid, comet, etc... so in order to build a dyson sphere you will need the tech for interstellar travel AND be able to cart back whole planets.
Take that profile. the drivers is better off with an electric moped that will let them drive past all the stopped traffic and save about 10 minutes of their own time. If they are eco nuts, then they should be pedaling on a bike.
But then, if cities were built and ran by sane people , the public transportation would work perfectly for this.
