Dont cheer franken, he should be against the whole damn thing. TOS violations a felony? What complete idiot can stand by any part of that bill? So now I can make a TOS for my website or my home and declare laws that are not laws of the land and they become felonies...
Oh wait, this is only for the rich and the corperations... Must be a fucking republican law.
Actually canada is our front yard and it's quite nice. All pretty, perfectly mowed and all the gnomes are polite. Inside the house we have problems with it all caving in, and the backyard is a cesspool because we like it that way.
Yes, I do blame a LOT of Mexico's problems on my own country... the USA.
The defense against it is simple. Do your research and publish it ALL to the public. Release it and get it out there Creative commons licensing eliminates the possibility of your idea being patented and stolen from you.
Stop being selfish asshats. Invent and release it to the wild.
Fighting a war in a country that is no where near us... while Mexico has so many problems that rolling in the tanks and bombing the hell out of cartel compounds would be a far better thing to do?
Honestly, why don't we clean up our own back yard before trying to make everyone else clean theirs up first? Is the United states armed forces that afraid of the drug cartels?
Pick any computer you like from Dell or other sources and I can make it run on solar with no effort. just add enough solar panels and inverter to meet it's watt need.
Running on solar is the 2011 equivalent of 1999's innovation called "on the internet"
Look I'm a genius! I'm doing accounting..... ON THE INTERNET!!!!
Why is everyone doing this "IT RUNS ON SOLAR!!!! crap?
The Pentium III runs on solar! Give me $600.00 and I'll go to harbor freight and buy 3 of their solar panels kits and run an entire computer from 1999 on solar! Look it's the first solar Desktop computer!
This is nothing special. I have a VIA C5 processor in a motherboard that draws less than 15 watts when going full boat from 5 years ago that will run on solar. That makes VIA far better at this because they are 5 years ahead of intel!
If you Photoshop, you're not a photographer but a phony.
Yes Photoshop has it's uses,I use it to do airbrushing or any fancy effects. I then present it as a Photoshopped image and not, "my photograph". But the number of "pro photographers" that cant compose a shot right and have to fix things like color or white balance or composition in PS is appalling.
If you cant take the photo with the camera and print it direct from camera, then you suck. Go learn photography and how to use your camera you hacks.
When one goes down? we replace it with one of the 40 we have in storage that work. Security updates? what for? it's on a highly protected and priave network that is disconnected from everything else.
Only idiots spend money for no reason. and again, all the analog gear will be decommissioned when the digital change happens, complete and utter morons buy new gear that will be decommissioned early in it's life cycle when you have a lot of working gear on hand.
Sounds like you have no idea about managing operational costs and maximizing profits in business.
"I cant believe this legal. What is stopping them from just making us sell our souls through a EULA." They just haven't though of that yet. Now you let them know and the cat is out of the bag.
You cant agree to give up the right to sue or the right to a class action suit. EULAS have zero enforceability when they put silly crap like this in there.
Sorry but Cable internet at home is faster than the T3 we have here at work. most businesses dont have a T3 but instead have a T1 that most DSL can equate or beat.
You would be surprised. my 3 year old mental experiment cat recently started playing fetch. She would go and get a small cat toy and bring it to you. if you throw it away she goes to get it and brings it back.
Nobody trained it, it learned it by watching the dog and decided... that looks fun.
Animals can come up with new solutions. I have seen dogs try something new to get to a bit of food under a table.
IT was funny as hell in college when I bought that bird that had problems for almost nothing.... $50.00 for a Blue and Yellow giant McCaw is unheard of and he was a nice bird, never bit hard....
But it would wear a LOT. "fucking watermelons" was one of it's favorite things to say. It's funny for about 3 months. then the damn thing's non stop talking and swearing get's old. it would assemble strange words together as well. I had that bird for 5 years before I found a zoo that would take him and deal with the problems.
He loved sitting on people and then sqwuak as loud as possible into the ear, then start swearing at you.
My USR modem would hang up for 30 seconds (It's a setting) and this would clear the line even if the other side did not hang up.
I did live in a broken exchange though that did not clear the line if both sides did not hang up. but that was years ago. Telephone spec calls to clear the line if the ON hook is pressed for 5 seconds or more.
Incorrectly configured modems that hang up and instantly dial back can be spoofed this way.
using real modems.
Site 1 calls in and logs on.
main site drops the connection and uses the credentials to call back to site 1 on the Stored phone number. Hell I had a us robotics modem from 1989 that did this it's called ringback security and is highly effective. it kept a lot of fellow hacker friends out of my stuff. I even dared them to crack it.
Today a dial up system is stupid. Private T1 line connection from point to point is the cheap answer ($79.00 a month today not crossing state lines) as no hacker can hack a private point to Point T1 connection unless he breaks into a CO or tie point and knows what he is looking for.
I have windows 2000 servers making more money a minute than you do a year. Analong AD insertion in a headend playing 16 MPEG2 streams at the same time from a Pentium III 1.2ghz processor and a bit of special hardware.... OK SCSI backbone that has 4, 4 port cards that can play the mpeg files directly from the SCSI Raid array, the computer simply issues the commands...
But there are NO drivers or software available after Windows 2000 server for these. WE will have to spend $1,200,000 for new gear and screw that. the Analog lineup is going away in another 3 years so why buy new analog gear when this OUTDATED setup works fine and makes buttloads of money...
Only idiots upgrade their OS just because there is an upgrade available.
If your SCADA system is on an unprotected and ISOLATED network then you deserve the hack. Kick managers in the nuts that ask for a remote connection to the SCADA system or it's PC's running the pretty UI for the plant operators. there is NO reason to allow any access except from the keyboard and mouse. anyone WORKING on the systems, IE the programmers and engineers should be using sanitized laptops that are ONLY USED for that purpose.
I was doing this in 1996 when I was doing SCADA systems using the craptastic WonderWare and AB systems.
You were able to get those surplus TI components for quite a wile in the late 70's and early 80's. I had several NASA spec 74xx series logic chips that I bought as surplus parts from various parts houses and even at the Dayton Hamfest. They were NOT "dripping with gold" it looked like gold on the outside as the legs were gold plated for corrosion and the Die cover was a gold color but was not gold. The cool part was getting your hands on NASA/Aircraft grade sockets. milled pins with a latching mechanism to lock the chip in place.
What your teacher had was not "special" unless it really was removed from one of the command modules that was being prepped for flight. Removed from the assembly line modules during initial testing is not really that special. Anyone into electronics back then got their hands on a lot of "NASA" Military and Aviation surplus parts. I was using milspec jet fighter connectors on projects for a very long time until the surplus market dried up and all we had left was the china junk.
the public facing one does. There has always been and always will be a not so obvious 100% free internet. It just requires an education and IQ test to gain access. Those that think a stylized E is the internet will not find it.
Dont cheer franken, he should be against the whole damn thing. TOS violations a felony? What complete idiot can stand by any part of that bill? So now I can make a TOS for my website or my home and declare laws that are not laws of the land and they become felonies...

How about screw arrest... snipers just make their heads explode at 2000 yards.
Well... if you can get a PC to run off of 10mw I have a power source that would be cool, and it's not Solar...
4 surplus pacemakers from the 70's and 80's those use a nuclear battery How would you like a 20 year battery for your laptop?
Ring Ring...
Pick any computer you like from Dell or other sources and I can make it run on solar with no effort. just add enough solar panels and inverter to meet it's watt need.

No they dont. that was not a click through EULA. that was a signed contract. very large difference.
"I cant believe this legal. What is stopping them from just making us sell our souls through a EULA."
They just haven't though of that yet. Now you let them know and the cat is out of the bag.

A simple encrypted proxy or VPN over port 80 to home.

Hows that for a 11 year old OS?

too late. look at a diagram of the satellites orbiting. there are tens of thousands of robots in the sky, all looking down on us.
