You've been looking at the leaf. Do you know about the $5000+ special charger that their electrician MUST install at a premium rate? There are others you can buy but Nissan tries like hell to invalidate your warranty if you don't use their blessed charger installed by their holy electrician.
I looked at it until I realized that it's HORRIBLY overpriced for what it is. its a $50,000 (after you buy everything it needs) subcompact car that has 3/4 the range it claims it has if you drive it normally, and 1/2 the range if you touch a highway at 70mph. One of the overpaid sales guys at work has one. He stroked his green-ness for 2 months with it... now he bitches about it and stopped driving it as it stranded him on the highway with a dead battery.

Consumers in general are cheap bastards wanting the lowest price possible. Price is their #1 requirement on any purchase... This is why most items are China Made. You would not spend $5800.00 on a USA made (USA sourced parts as well) laptop or PC.
I know of SEVERAL people that own ipod ipad iphone and still buy Dell PC's in fact the BULK of iThing owners are Dell/Hp/Acer computer users and not Apple computer users.

I personally would LOVE a new mac pro for my video editing, but I was able to buy 2 ASUS workstations with the same specs and a HD prosumer Canon camera for the price of the new quad core mac pro. And yes that included costs of new software suites for editing AND training for myself and my one editor employee. And we both were already used to after effects...

Talking on the phone and driving can be safe, Most people don't want to bother with being safe, or are too stupid to be safe on a phone in a vehicle. A BT headset in a car makes it very safe to talk and drive. Also some of us have idiot bosses that demand we talk on the phone during drive time. Really, your emergency can wait another 15 minutes until I get home or into the office, I really don't need to talk you through it on the phone right now.
NOISE REJECTION... the Iphone voice control works great with my bluetooth helmet when below 40mph but as soon as I hit highway speeds it stops responding to my commands.
It's great to be able to ride and change songs, make and receive calls, but I'd love to be able to also select podcasts, that right now does not work. only playlists, or you need to manually start your podcast, and it will play all in that podcast folder.
