IOTM = Idiot of the Month
With most illegal p2p startin to use encryption and if they start with that even more will, it makes that money spent just a waste when that network can't decode the data.
FIOS is cheaper. FIOS doesn't throttle the shit out of your uploads. I expect Comcast will avoid taking this product to markets where FIOS is available. they don't throttle you YET! gotta remember during this how time fcc been on comcast case verizon was one companies backing comcast's side.
No matter what a game company does to protect their game as in terms of copy protection, its never gonna stop the pirateing. about mostly only effective is the cd-key for online play, if person likes game enough for single player a lot of them will buy a legit copy to play it. Granted there have been private server cracks for pirated versions but usally for game is hard to find them, and its much nicer to just buy game and have axx to every server.
can hope they won't let them pull the BS the RIAA has, but now the RIAA's BS is startin to catch up with them and so is the judges gettin fed up with it.
To address a few points, in terms of being licensed it does make them show their method's of collecting info on ppl is valid and not bogus stuff they might make up. Most the riaa's wins in court, mostly none of the artists haven't even seed 1 cent of it so its not pirates f'in them its more so now the riaa. as for fileing suit in a state they have a license in for someone that lives in a state they don't, i think they have to go to the state were the crime is committed, for fact its not other states problem to do this and it would cost that state $$$ to get person from another state.
What in the end this boils down to, is for them to make the engine able to work on linux they would have rebuild the engine from line 1. And then with all diff version of linux software packages dependent on the distro of linux, its a a very hard process to make sure your game will have everything needed to run on that machine. havin it compile all what it needs from src is hard since some will have compile issues and will need debug, Most gamers don't really wanna spend the time to debug 1000 lines of code just to get game to work.
that is true, the defense has the right to all your evidence you in a case before you present it, and collection is available to and if you refuse to give it up its well within the judges right to throw the evidence due to failure to comply. The RIAA knows their collection, testing and things arn't enough to even win in a small claims court so they will fight as hard as possible to prevent giving the data up.
i bet 20 bucks if they system is used lawsuits for male-practice will go up 5 fold cause if they treat someone with bad credit and don't give him/her proper treatment.
that is so true they have made it so that almost every type of digital copy of music is illegal less it was bought from like itunes or some other store. Most judges don't even know the difference if they were anymore so i hope they win the case even if the lawyer takes most the money it would stick a sword were the sun don't shine on the riaa and maybe make them think twice on their lawsuits upcoming.
Well even if this story is a fake, its not the first time stuff like this has happened when some pedo brings his computer in to be repaired, and service tech. finds the porn on his machine and calls the cops. I believe its law if they find the that stuff on customers machines, they are required to contact the police.
truthfully only real application for the gpu/cpu hybrid would be in laptop use where they can get away with using lower end gpu chips
