  1. Inconceivable as it may to someone who no doubt believes the world is on an endless downward spiral from sometime around "free" things may actually have been worse in days gone by.

  2. I've got a truly marvellous solution that will keep everyone happy however the box in this page is slightly too small to contain it.

Blah blah. How do you think Britain expected to hold the continent, you're completely indoctrinated in the myth of American exceptionalism. It was inevitable America would go solo. And yes companies try and screw people over all the time, that's why there are so many laws to try and restrict them from doing so.

Maybe if halfwit chain stores get into an arms race making customers buy ludicrously large soft drinks to make their bottom line look better at the expense of the nations health someone should step in and try and curb that. You strike me as the type of fellow who would complain just as loudly about the fact your tax dollars were being used on a public information campaign to tell people to drink less soda.

I tend to buy fairly expensive guitar cables, the Planet Waves ones. Rather than being an audio quality issue (though they do sound better than the cheapest cables which can hum a bit in a noisy environment, those gain pedals boost noise!) I buy them for durability, the cheaper ones can fail after a few months while I've only had one planet waves one die in nearly 10 years of use and they replaced it for free, with no hassles. Reliability is worth the money.

What I find telling is the fact that while some imperial units cling on in places that have converted (inch, mile, foot) fahrenheit is totally dead, I think that probably indicates that in day to day use it's just not that practical.

Halfwit. I was saying all our morals will likely look ridiculous in days to come. I don't agree with genetic engineering at the moment. It's hubris to believe we can better than a billion years of evolution in the thirty or so years we have actually been able to study it.
