    I have never seen a competent current group do that. They all encode based on quality, some full length movies come out 200M, others 900M+. Based on the content. They all come out looking good, and for 265, all come out significantly smaller than their 264 counterparts.
    I used to do a lot of 480, horrible quality, but the smallest file size you could find anywhere. Now groups using 265 come out with smaller files in 720. Crystal clear, amazing video, at less then the smallest worst quality used to provide.

    And emails and messaging is already cheaper and available in more locations. I can send an email for free, telephone service costs like 60 dollars a month minimum (and that is not factoring the billions of dollars of public money they suck up). And whole swaths of the world that have no access to any other communication form have email and Facebook.

    Based on your metrics, public utilities are an abject failure compared to independent corporations.

    I don't understand how people produce decent encoding (using any format). But, they do exist. Download anything you like from a reputable pirate group, the x265 encoded videos simply come out significantly smaller with a similar quality. I do not pretend to be an videophile, but these groups are. And they use x265 and it comes out SIGNIFIGANTLY smaller than x264 every time.

    It plays fine on all tablets I have tried it on, and it plays on some of the little 40 dollar pcs they make now.

    Isn't that a little of an overreaction? Twice a day is not that much.

    We both know that if they put in a check box to turn it off, so many people would just click "never" because they do not want to be bothered with it, but absolutely would benefit from an upgrade. In the general case they should nag about upgrading to windows 10 for the same reason that they nag about general [security] upgrades. Because their are far more idiots that will just click "never" without even reading it, than their are intelligent, informed people who would benefit from the chose.

    They closed down in America, a place where it is legal and you are under basically zero danger running a union, because of a drop in the dues coming in. It does not matter what laws exist in China, it never would of been a profitable enough a venture to begin with. The only reason they want a foothold in foreign soil, is to gain more leverage over companies so that they can benefit the real members who make enough to pay them. But without enough American members, they have no use for the foreign leverage.

    The entire reason they are outsourcing and moving to Asia is because they are creating jobs. The alternative is to copy Japan and build fully automated US factories. But I think these CEOs are used to running empires and employing thousands and are really against the idea of running a multi billion dollar corporation whose only employees are the CEO and some board members.

    The union did not give up on IBM, IBM gave up on America. The union is just not interested in protecting foreign workers rights, or at least knows that Chinese and Indian peasants do not have enough money for it to be worth their time taking some of it.

    Oh, don't give me that. American minimum wage is enough to put you into the 1% super rich global elite. Even a single part time job, paid minimum wage, would be 10 times the salary of the vast majority of families in the world. If they do not have enough money for food, it is become of an ill managed luxurious lifestyle. And if this improved test scores, well they still are scoring orders of magnitude under many many communities living under much greater poverty.

    Hey, if Paypal is going to lock my account when I go to pay HumbleBundle $1, a store I has shopped at before; In an obvious attempt to force bank info out of me, then Apple can inquire when thousands of dollars of inapp translations start appearing. These online finance companies are known for their totalitarian and ethics-free use of their power and oversight. They can start using it to actually help their customers.

    What gets me is the number of purchases: "65".

    Which means these are worlds away from normal micro-transactions. The average payment was somewhere around $100.

    Their are laws which prevent profiting from autobiographies and such (aka profiting from your crime). There do similarly take away an autobiographical work, I could see an argument being used that Hitler's crimes would of fuelled the sales of the book.

    It is a real feeling of triumph, to be able to pick over this rubbish and then to debunk it bit by bit.

    It really sounds like their is nothing scholarly about the edition. More like the Mocking Hitler Edition. Coupled with the original text, which judging by its title, this has to be the most vainglorious and conceited book ever written.

    But seriously, we cannot just release a book with undoubtable historical significance. Because, it was written by the losing side in one of the most recent wars we have to deface it first?
