If by "work hard" you mean go to a business school where they will give you a adress book of other self content bastards who will exclusively hire you instead of someone competent and teach you how to maximize short term profit until you can use your golden parachute (only to be hired the next month by another rogue corporation's board), then that's what you deserve. This is about 50% of the rich, "hard working people". Add to that the 45% of lucky sperms, and you have 95% of the rich out there.

Working hard is by far no guarantee to get wealthy.
Being rich is by far no proof to have worked hard.

It took us 250 years to ramp up a (profitable) industry that ultimately boils down to turn turning craploads of alkane chains into water and craploads of carbon dioxide. Unless we find a process that does the opposite orders of magnitudes faster and at near zero cost, it'll take thousand of years to reverse the effects.

And I haven't begun yet on how we could possibly control such a system with 1) no measurable effect before decades 2) no idea if we fuck up something else with the side effects before centuries.

Frankly, we'd be better off learning to live with the effects.

Why do you think the phone number is on the phone or on the SIM ? Having two phone numbers doesn't require dual SIM and/or dual radio stack. In fact, there are solutions available to give roamers a prepaid local number. It doesn't make a lot of sense commercially as roaming fees are a cash cow, so you won't see lots of implementations, but it's quite easy to do.
