The old saying goes, "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance"
So you need to be eternally vigilant against people wanting to taking away your freedom, ie YOUR GOVERNMENT. Not some dirty old camel fscker hiding in a cave, cause all he wants to do is kill you.
.... What would the world be like if there was no IP to speak of? ie you weren't able to patent and monopolize(sp?) an idea. I hear the arguments that it would stifle innovation, BUT is this entirely true? Through out history there was no concept of IP and yet innovation occurred. Anyone remember the wheel, the steam engine, + others.
I'll grant you that the pace of innovation in the last 50 years shadows over that of the thousands of years before that. But is this thanks to IP?
Why couldn't life exist in the radiation of the galactic core? We live in the radiation from our own sun (UV etc..)
You often hear scientists finding life in weird and unusual places on our own planet. Places where conventional thinking would have no life existing at all.
Whenever someone asks about aliens i always say the following.... Life elsewhere in the universe ----- Definitely Inteligent life elsewhere in the universe ----- Probably Inteligent life coming to earth, sticking anal probes up the rears of country hicks in arkansas ---- Give me a break!
Of course the real reason NASA is developing such a device is so that they can detect people who believe that the entire apollo moon landing was a hoax. These people will then be "removed".;-)
I heard that the entire story line was different from the first to the 50th.
Instead of a clone army of soldiers, it was originally supposed to have been a clone army of lawyers. And they were used to attack Count Douku(sp?) and the Trade federation with patten infringements and anti competitive law suits.
I think the clone army of soldiers works better. Don't you?;-))
This reminds me of a study where they measured the brain activity of people playing Tetris for the first time. It showed they used a significant proportion of their brain in playing the game. After a while of continuous playing, they measured the brain again and found that only a small proportion was being used. They theoried that the brain optimised itself so that it took less brain power to play the game. (ie newer brain connections were created to solve the problem that is tetris)

Now a truly evil genius would steal it. Or, have one of his henchmen steal it.
