You can have a MS Live account with any e-mail address. You don't have to use MSN, Hotmail, or what ever is linked into it. Just like you can have a Google account which doesn't have to end in @gmail.com
Yes, you'll have to accept some EULA to sign up for a Live account, but after that, you don't have to use it.
You choose to sell your time to another entity, small or large at a rate that is acceptable to you. If you're not happy with what they are paying, the normal response is to take your business elsewhere.
You always work for yourself. It's your choice where this happens.
Quite correct with the micro management. EVERYTHING is logged. Which technician worked on the machine at what time. Which admin clerk inputted the pay out ratio, which gambler played for how long. What his starting credit was, final credit, number of spins. LOGS, logs & more logs. Did I mention video? Camera footage from any angle but underneath.
First reason, Casinos are a business and they get very sour when losing money (be it by theft of patrons or personnel, accident or mis-management). Second, government interference / control / regulation (take your pick). They audit the software that runs the slot machine, the management software of the slot machines plus the back end software.
The casino should have picked this up a lot sooner. Most likely some guy will be fired for placing the decimal in the wrong place.
ZENWorks works on even more platforms. I know that PDA's are supported as well. Plus now, with ZENWorks 4 you don't even need a NetWare client installed.
GroupWise, their Messaging service is Rock Solid as well. No virus problems. The GW database is encrypted by default. You can enable encryption on server to server communication. You have SSL support for the web client & a wireless solution for your PDA again.
Their documentation is very detailed. Their knowledge base has had years to grow & is organized by TID numbers. Their TID are very detailed about the problem, the solution or work around & what versions of software are affected.
For great tips & tricks, check out Cool Solutions User feedback, excellent ideas about implementation & lots of gadgets. Both free & for a price.
Just yesterday came across an article on Novell's Coll Solutions site, where the user uses Search folders with defined criteria, instead of draggin & dropping in to several folders. Mailbox size: 1000+ items.
Sorry. can't seem to find URL, but there are lots of tips @ GW Coolsolutions page
Sure, politically speaking RSA is a 1st world country, geographically & mentally, a lot of people think RSA is a 3rd world country. Even in RSA. I've had enough discussions with people on either side and on the fence.
Privacy on hotmail? Obviously you didn't read the news from the day before. If a company has an established policy about this, all new employees should be informed during their first day tour of the office (or during the interview). If they want to start this kind of policy, inform user timeously so that they can clean up their act.
Why is nobody talking about the other browsers off to the right?
The ones that don't get randomized unless they are in the visible area when you hit the refresh button.
If you want diversity & true choice (like we generally claim), then these other browsers must be randomized in the list too.

Except that by DEFAULT, the WinXP install will wipe out the ENTIRE hard drive.

How disgusting to have cockroaches in your house. I would have thought 'intelligent' people would have no cockroaches in their home.
PS This comment is due to my utter loathing of cockroaches (Thankfully I can still speel the word).
F-Secure already have this type of technology. For the Palm OS as well. /\ //
