    it is an attempt to get more posts by making the buttons seem more accessible, which in turn increases user interaction and increases return traffic resulting in higher ad revenue

    It took me a few passes, too.

    Apparently he is trying to say that people who are aware that they are more likely to get a certain disease will try to insure themselves specifically against that disease at the normal rate, with a higher chance of filing a claim at some point.

    Insurance companies make money off of the people who do not make claims and this behavior might impact the bottom line of an insurance company through the higher incidence of claims on policies that are funded with unadjusted premiums.

    The new version of Truecrypt does not support hidden volumes on Linux. Don't ask me why, it just doesn't. Even though older versions did. And when you ask why in the Truecrypt forums, you are told that "you don't HAVE to use truecrypt"... A Linux user might be better off to create a virtualbox container and keep stuff in it, then remove all links to virtualbox from the startmenu/desktop. With binary distros it would be elementary to remove virtualbox via the package manager before crossing the border and then reinstall it afterwards in order to access files. The really cautious could consider encrypting the filesystem in the virtual container for an added level of security.

    Point out to me precisely where you derive this "right" to getting on an airplane without being searched? Go on, show me. I'm sure you know exactly what paragraph and clause in the Constitution says you have the right to board an airplane without having to comply with security regulations. You have to know because you're so damned sure you've got this "right."

    ...If you do not wish to submit to being scanned/searched/whatever, you can take a bus, a cab, or your own personal transportation...


    And when it is decided that the "powers that be" can search you in the bus, cab, or your own personal transportation? The Constitution does not mention planes, trains, or automobiles specifically...

    As far as I know, "the masses" do not use dual-head cards or RAID controllers, which are considered by many people to be "advanced" hardware.

    Your complaints are akin to saying "Ubuntu is crap because it did not automagically configure my networked coffeepot!!1"
