I'm not sure whether this is good or bad. One one hand, I'm don;t like people registering domains that may be useful later and then not using then for anything. That's just mean. On the other hand, this is a free market economy, and people should be able to"buy low, sell high." So, I'm relly not sure where I stand.
Just curious, maybe I didn't read far enough into the previous article or the code itself, but what are the system requirments for Slash (hardward and software) I know it requires mod_perl and an SQL server, but what else?
I've always used TI's since 7th grade (I'm a senior now). My first one was an 81, with its sweet 3k of mem. Then, I got an 82, because of its sweet link port. Freshman year of HS, I got an 86 (better games). Thag got stolen (bastards!) so I got another. A few weeks ago, The screen shattered (internally, there is no external damge), and TI refuses to fix it. Said it would cost be $60 for a new screen. So what do I do, but get an 89 off eBay. Though, I think I'll stay with the 89 untill they come out with a cell fone/palm vii/ti 92 combo.
Free speech means ABSOLUTE free speech. However, my rights end where yours begin. So, I guess censorship is good, when it is implemented properly. In other words it works, in theory. But then again, so does communism (in theory). So there ya go.
Btw.. you didn't say first post.. what's wrong with you;> a) I'm not a l-user or an AC b) with my luck, in the time it would have taken me to type "fisrt post," it would have been second or third:)
Proj. Gutenberg has saved me much money on books. When I need one for school, or just to read, I grab it and download to my Palm. (And when i get bored, I can always switch right over to Tetris or Hardball). Thanks Project Gutenberg!
I was at my local Borders on Friday night (great geek hangout, btw) and saw the book promenently displayed along with several distros of linux and many books, etc. So, of course, me not wanting poor Illiad to starve, bought it for my collection, even though I've read every strip there is. I really liked it; it captured a lot of historical moments (the Crud Puppy, the Star Wars parody, and Miranda.). BUT, It didn't have a lot of the funniest, in my opinion, moments. I think we should have voted on our favorite strips and Illiad should have put the best ones in the book. Also, I was showing it around school this morning, and a lot of people who don't read UF didn't get it, so maybe it should have had the first several weeks or so.
Network Solutions is doing a mediocre job at best. Let's get rid of them and the other registrars and have:

Jeff could run the domain registration, and Rob could steal other people's domains that he wants. "Sorry, the domain you've had for 10 years is being repossessed for non-payment" just my.03 (inflation)
I LOVE the airport....finally looks like we can get a reliable wireless ethernet. And the fact that it supports multiple computers...equally cool. Heh....Quake party on the deck:).
But these colors.....ugh....enough....i would be embarrassed to pull an orange laptop out at a metting. And the shape resembles one of those "kiddie" computers that plays word games and stuff.
Please, apple. Give us Airport in a grey or black stardard shape laptop.
I thought it was really good, but there were a lot of 17 yr olds there chuckling at every curse. I thought they were gonna get more strict with carding ppl....I look 13, and all I had to do was flash my school id really fast (which doesn't even have my b-date). Oh well

Are we forgetting the asshole effect. I think that goes along with the/. effect, like when you guys [and gals] tore down that web server without the root pass.
