Why should a programmer be paid less just because he's younger. In this case the more qualified candidate for the needs of the company is getting paid more, as it should be. Age doesn't enter into it. If the older programmer wanted the higher paycheck he should have kept up with the field. If he had made himself competent in the "hot emerging technology" that their client wanted, his industry experience and seniority would have counted for something. But no amount of general experience will make up for not having the skills his position and company needs you to know.
Well, I program Control Systems for an industrial construction company. The Construction Industry feels it can reasonably "ask" you to do just about anything in terms of hours, because of the simple fact that the market is saturated and both you and they know that they can replace you if you think about rocking the boat. Let me give you an example: Just this year I was told on a Friday evening (was called at home) that I needed to drive out to boondocks (this bit of it being a few hours away) to be at a Mill Monday morning of a field install; pack for 5 days. Seemed short notice, but fine I'm a team player. Get down there to find out that wasn't the real deal they had made for the contract. I was there working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 7 weeks. Unions exist to protect the employees from just that reason: to protect the employees from unreasonable demands. But their logic is sound in that you generally have to push quite hard for people to jump ship without another boat waiting.
Ford (the company) didn't invent the Assembly Line, nor was it the first with the idea of a moving conveyor system (which came first as a "disassembly line" in Chicago slaughterhouses).
What Ford did was be the first to put those ideas together and order the process to the point where a complete product was made from start to finish on the line. They made a car ever three minutes.
Unfortunately, Google as reached "Default" status, and is thus the standard search engine used, not just from its own website, but also in search bars, phones, and other integrated instances. Marketing might make Bing more visible, but its Google's unseen market share that is the real challenge.
You can't see it yet on Google Maps yet, but the Data Center is listed as located at 45.725613, -113.622258, or at 6081 Startown Road, Newton, NC 28658
Well, if that were the case then every used bookstore in the country is about to be raided. I mean, If Sale=Reproduction for the purposes of this, then it's saying by extension that a copyright holder owns every physical copy of the material. For heaven's sake, the New York Times could charge me for burning their paper in my fireplace last night.
Citizens to Government - "if you aren't dishonest you have nothing to worry about" = good
government to citizens - "if you aren't dishonest you have nothing to worry about" = bad
Here, I fixed it for you. Honestly, that looks fine to me. Governments are supposed to have transparency. Its only private citizens that are supposed to be "private"
In NC, its more a product of how long the road has been there. Even a driveway gets some love after 100+ years. Especially if there isn't much else around, and they need landmarks. Also, many of the drives with road names/signs are family lands with several generations and multiple houses.
But the biggest thing is that the mailman won't come down driveways (they have to drive everywhere out here in the sticks) but is more willing come down something with a state roadsign. Otherwise you have to have your mailbox at the end of the drive, which could easily be 1/2 mile or more.
It says the big US companies are waiting to see whether it will be useful for cookbooks and children's books, but wouldn't the color aspect of it have an immediate market with the magazines and periodicals that those same companies are pushing so hard to distribute on their devices?
Well, in this case I'd think it would fall in the same category as jail-breaking your ipod/pad/phone. There is no theft, piracy, resale, or actual profit involved.
Personally, I dont see why Microsoft would want to block it, considering all the mileage Nintendo got from the various educational and/or open-source wii-mote projects in the past.
Do the words "Hanging Chad" mean anything to you? Paper voting has as many problems as E-voting, and as much potential for massive screw-ups. If there were a system that was actually secure, e-voting would be great. Unfortunately, the systems out there are all closed system "black box" deals where the manufacturer refuses to reveal any of the internal workings. Because of that the only people who actually know are the hackers using them to fix elections. If they were open, and thus subjected to rigorous enough testing to consider secure and reliable, we'd be golden.
Besides, you shouldn't really assume that the machine that electronically reads your paper ballad and transmits the results are any more secure/reliable as the purely electronic solution.
Interesting how the possible state law for legalization of marijuana is getting as much or more attention from American people than the elections of the legislators who actually make our laws.
Walmart is an all-purpose general retail store. The larger Walmarts, or "Super-centers", have a grocery store attached to them, but it is not a standard thing. Bullets are typically found in the hunting part of the Sporting Goods section, near all the camping gear, fishing supplies, etc.
Its not hard to convert one to a MASER that can boil water, burn wood, or blow up zombie heads at 50 yards or more. Not that Ive tried it of course, that would be dangerous, irresponsible, and possibly illegal. Just sayin'
If its a genetic trait, shouldn't that make liberals as a group a race minority or something? Thus the same race protection Laws should apply, right? It makes that stomping incident a hate crime! And as long as there isn't a "conservative gene" as well, then it makes the Republicans a Supremacy group! See where this is going...?

What gets me is how many people used "Michael," "Michelle", and "Jordan". Why are those three names so popular for passwords?

Vatican City will be hosting the Annual Gay Pride Extravaganza, and Steve Jobs will be hosting the Open Source The Future Gala.
Its called lead paint dude. I had the same problem with an old rental place I used to live in. Party at your place when the Nukes start flying!

So if its a million times hotter than the sun, does that get to the necessary temp/pressure for controlled Fusion?

And they used it for "restoring damaged images". Yeah. Sure.
Images that were "damaged," for example, by having Trotsky in them.
He has crazy eyes...
...Photo's edit you!!!
Did a baguette from the future fall into the wiring again?

AKA not polished, not ready for prime time, and definitely not for your grandma (unless she is a script-granny).
You know, Id like to meet this "Script0Granny" you speak of. That sounds like an interesting old bitty.

Ill be honest and say that the only DOS program I am really dying to run on my iPad is Ultima7. Anyone find an Exult port out there let me know.
