Does anyone in ireland in their right mind use eircom for broadband?
their service is slow, their customer support consists of an annoying automated robot, and this ex-state monopoly has managed to hold back the development of broadband in this country by a decade, and then theres the very very expensive "line rental", sheesh
i have adblock, but i disabled it for few minutes as this site was being rendered all weird, so i taught adblock was messing around only to realize it just/. devs playing around with some ajaxy fluff
so anyways back on topic does this mean/. profits from the "evil" empire? hmm...
thanks for posting this info on/. we need all the education about the opposite sex that we need (never mind the mothers whose basements we hermits live in)
they have mountains of data coming in from their toolbar, adsense ads, analytics, search, gmail, docs, orkut, webmaster tools, etc am i missing anything?
they probably have a hard drive worth of data and profile info on each one of us
its kinda scary, and their "do no evil" motto is not reassuring at all, with so much info in their hands and no transparency...
never mind the Chinese, we westerners dis one better (shame on us)
> try justify (switch on FOX news and wait a minute and you will get all sorts of justifications) killing half a million people in Iraq in last few years...
what will happen once microsoft make a package management similar to linux??
right now this is one of the "selling" points of most distros, but theres also a darkside, each distro has their own way (whats new) there is: yast, smart, apt-get, yum, rpm and so on:(
