    There is nothing wrong in questioning the person to whom the service is registered to. However, I agree automatic guilt assumption is wrong, but I repeat if your name is on it then you should be questioned.

    I don't believe science in its purist form can have any taboo. To be honest, vaporizing Earth for me is more of engineering question. But "How to change the trajectory of earth sized planet" is a scientific question for me. I think the way I see it, is that science is neutral, and anything beyond that is just humans tinkering with it. Quoting Prof Farnsworth:

    I actually noticed a pattern among people who do certain fields of science, we are always willing to experiment on ourselves. I know that it is dangerous to point the laser to my eyes, I know I shouldn't touch that naked wire, and I know that I shouldn't mix these two substances together, yet the inquisitive part of my brain takes control and tell my self-preservation module. So will probably kill myself long before I do anything significant enough.

    Happened to me a week ago! My contact on the bank told me that it will take at least a month for the bank to pick up the tab but I checked my account last night and they gave me back the money ( about 1400 euros or 1700 USD ). If people wind up thinking that banks are not secure and you don't get reimbursed then who in their right mind will ever use one again ?

    Exactly! But even with standard ones you can make it secure enough. For example I never had a pet when I was kid, and for that reason I pick that one out and fill it with a name that mentally means something for me, but something that not even my best friend of 21 years can tell! Really the problem is not with the security measures it is with the end users. If you pick that question above and you had a pet that half of the world knew you had. Well then don't nag on how bad the the security is.

    I am baffled ( I do understand it ) by this behavoir, how everyone immediately hurries to buy shares in some company just because someone shared his interest in it. I do understand that it is a way to gain money but I can't help but to think of hyenas each time I see this happen.

    The point is not learning how to do complex calculation, the point is by learning these mathematical subjects you develop certain skills in logic, problem solving , and in critical thinking. It goes beyond mathematics and to how to be a rational thinker ( and yes I am exaggerating a bit ).

    Yes I would agree with that. But our sample of planetary system of the universe is so small that it is ridiculous to make any judgment. How many planetary system that have more than one planet that we know it exist ? 100 ? 1000 ? How many we think there is in our own galaxy ? few billions ? For few billions you need a sample of 2000 system to make any statement.

    The higgs has definitely not been found. They only found a particle that looks like the higgs at some mass. If you saw the conference that announced the new "particle" none of the people behind the table said that they found the higgs, they kept on repeating that they found a new particle. To verify whether or not it is the higgs, you need to study the individual channels and verify if they belong to a higgs interaction or not ( and this will take time ). But I repeat we have no proof that this is the higgs.

    Definetly not! Perp 1 might be an arab, but 2 and 3 are not. Beside your assumption on skin is wrong, because while north african arabs are dark skinned, middle eastern ( Palastenian, lebanese and Syrian ) arabs vary from dark skin to extreemly white skin. You'd be surprised by some of my blue eyed blonde hair arab friends!
