Not having heard about it before it was declared a failure is a bad thing, but even if I had, I wouldn't have used it because it's *hideous*! I'd prefer using something bland like Craigslist over that gaudy design any day.
I'm with what looks like the majority of Slashdotters here in that I will be ignoring the Idle posts (as I have been during your testing period). When I want to waste time, I know where to go. When I want geek news, I also know where to go... here, except that now there's slightly more crap I have to filter out. Bleh.

Anyway I'd imagine you'd be more concerned with the quality of the JS library than with the (obviously robust) hosting itself.

Google farting is newsworthy. Apparently nothing Yahoo! does is worth mentioning unless it involves how much we suck or us getting bought out. /vent
Silicon Valley has a way better ring to it.
