I find that CD's really don't make good coasters. That little hole in the middle allows moisture to reach the surface of whatever it's sitting on. Let's rename them from "Coasters" to "Wow put it in the microwave for 5 seconds".
It's a community college. They tend to atract lower class persons and non-traditional students. People who for the most part are trying to make it somewhere. Stating it's pathetic just show's your own ignorance.
I suspect that this is just a gimmick to look hip. This comming from a guy who probably wears electronics on his belt to look hip.
I used to work at that very ISP while in college, Cedar Falls Utilities. They offer cable modem access on an entirely Linux system, along w/ the traditional utilities services. Props to my old boss/sysadmin that got me into Linux.
