RTFA, these are different - they mix the sun light with regular lamps to produce a constant light source. When there's more sun, there's less electric light. Less sun, more electric light.
Solar tubes are neat, but they are not the same as solar hybrid light.
I use a Bessa-R, love that thing. It's a rangefinder and fully manual. I can shoot that thing at night with no flash, in low light, and no shutter lag that you usually get with digi cameras. It's compact but agile.
That and buying good film on e-bay rocks. No digital for me right now, no thanks.

The first thing you need to know is what exactly is expected of you. You need to know this for two main reasons. First, you need to know the extent of your job and second you need to make sure you meet managments expectations.
Every company is different and will have some things that are more important than others. Look and adapt from other peer managers.
Read 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Covey?).
Most importantly, if you don't know, but you think you should, ask your boss. It's better to establish a clear line of communicaiton with your boss than to sit there and worry about not knowing.
Oh, and have fun with it, and turn the cell phone off when you get home.
There is an international commercial code, similar to the US' Uniform Commercial Code. This code has been accepted by the UN, check to see if India has signed on.
It doesn't matter that you have received the product from them (in this case a service). You found it to be defective in a reasonable amount of time and have notified the company.
Basically you need to have your companies lawyer(s) check over your contract for the work you hired out. You do have remidies according to this internation code, but your lawyer should do the work.
Keep in mind that there is quite a bit of software written for the government that can't be exported. Military and other systems are kept here for specific reasons - like security.
With that said, for commercial software, what I think you will see is the large software shops move out, but the small shops will continue to exist. Response to customers needs drives many things, and if you need to be next to the customer when you make the software, you really can't ship it out.
Software engineers going away? I don't think so. Big developement efforts, probably.
"By allowing gay marriage, what you are doing is throwing morality, religion, and tradition out of marriage.."
I disagree with that completly. What's immoral in allowing two people to have the same happiness as afforded to two other people? It's immoral to deny that to someone.
Religion - hey, to each his own. Not a topic that I see relevant to this issue.
Tradition - hmm. Traditions change, times change. People adapt, learn, and grow. Marriage won't suddenly disappear or fall apart because two people got married.
Go back to legal reasons - and I'm not talking about polygamy, because I don't see that as related to this issue. The pro-polygamy people can take their argument separtely to the courts.
Because the argument to legalise polygamy is separate from the argument to legalise same sex marriage.
It's separate becasue when the discussion is to legaise same sex marriage it is directly opposed to the concept of traditional marriage. It's not introducing a new concept of multi-person (more than the two) marriage.
The polygamy argument can be made separatly at any time, but I can't see how the two issues should be considered the same, or joined together.
Can 2 people get married? Yes or no?
Can more than 2 people get married in the same union? Separate issue. Talk amoungst yourselves.
"By scientific standard"... "homosexuality is genetic"... "then it is a defect"...
Um, yeah, having specific hair color, eye color, height, weight, blah blah blah are also genetic. Are they also defects? Are you really suggesting that someone has a genetic defect because they are homosexual?
Wow. That's quite an assertion.
Being gay is no more a defect than having curly hair (on your head). Or being bald.
Supply and demand probably. Don't forget that these engineers have to compete on a globabl market, with other countries that may be able to do much more for far less. Companies need to remain competitive, and that sometimes means cutting costs. That sometimes sux0rz here, but that's the market.
Of course, for history majors, I think that W is replacing them with Gov't clones to ensure that *real* history is recorded, and also so nobody questions it later..
Yes - I've looked into these - the Canon and the Nikon digital SLR's. I like the size and usefulness of rangefinders though.. If I'm going to spend ~$800 for a body, I'd probaly cough up a few more $$ and get a used Leica M6 body. I'd be really interested in seeing an affordable digital rangefinder camera - but I don't see that happening. (I've got a Bessa-R that's really great for the price, but it's no Leica.)
I agree. I think all of the new digital devices that have come out over the past years offered a diversion from the traditional or non-existant analog device.
But, I think what is happening is that people are realizing that sometimes analog is better. Take for instance records (LP's). I was cleaning up my basement and came across the old collection - yet I don't have a turntable anymore. It was replaced with the DVD\CD player.
Digital cameras are another area. I went back to film because I wasn't happy with the digital equilivants offered (if they were). I like to set my f-stop & shutter speed according to conditions - something that is not affordable in most digital cameras (- before you comment, show me one that you can manually set the f-stop from ~ f2.5 to f22...)
At the same time, I'm not giving up my DVD player, or CD players. I'll just add the turntable.
I think you will start to see a trend to have the best of both worlds incorporated in ways they were not.
No, I'm not really worried about this either - mainly becasue the next computer I buy is going to be from Apple. I'm not even going to try to figure out Longhorn.
You know, I bet if you did a study looking at the increase of air play of songs compared to the CD sales you would see a decrease.
I for one may like a song at first, but when radio stations are forced to play it over and over (every hour...) I get sick of it. I'm not going to buy that CD anymore - thanks radio...
I work in a facility where they really don't want you to have cell phones. The only problem is that the office phones have restricted local long distance (I can't call my house). I filled out paperwork to be able to bring my cell phone with me. If I didn't do this I would have to walk outside to the pay phone or use a calling card - how silly.
Security is the reason, but it doesn't make that much sense when I have a regular phone on my desk. I don't understand how talking in to one is ok and not the other. Go figure.
Keep in mind the subsidies that the Government pays to farmers to help ensure that they make a profit (or break even), and in some cases this means that farmers don't farm their land. If they started to grow corn to be used for ethanol the government subsidies could be reduced or eliminated. Neat.
Then we can wait for the Organization of Corn Exporting Countries to start controlling production...

I doubt this is considered a tort case.

"Is this even possible?"
-- Only if you're not the RIAA or MPAA...
NPR reported about Diebold a few times. It's getting some coverage, but I agree, not enough.
Yeah, but why not use Java? And who is Miguel?

Exactly! It's important to keep the legal status exactly the same between same-sex and mixed sex marriages.
Separate but equal is not the same - it needs to be the same. (Union vs. marriage).

Let me just say,
That's so funny.

I just forward that email from Microsoft and AOL, I'm told that I'll get tons of money very soon.. Silly people actually clicking on ads for money..

That would be an interesting study...
Put's a whole new meaning to "crunching" the numbers.
Just disable them when people enter the bathroom - just think how many people would sit there and talk while they really shouldn't be..

You know - that guy from Subway - he lost all that weight. Oh, wait, that was Jarod. My bad. I agree - Jaron who?
