    Democrats could have passed anything they damn well felt like passing without a single republican vote

    You are right about multiple fuckups, a single failure isn't usually the problem.
    I've been an aircraft mechanic for more than 30 years and one thing I learned early was:

    Double check everything you do
    Get someone else to check after you check
    Assume work that someone else has done is wrong
    Don't trust ANYTHING a pilot tells you ;)

    Brake pads do in fact have metal backing plates behind the pad and the little "cricket finger", and it makes an amazing noise when it hits the caliper. My wife knows the sound well.

    Had the same problem ..... not finding a SATA disk. Tried option nodmraid, loaded system then sudo apt_get remove dmraid. All wonderful now!
