Likewise, many times when I have missed an episode of a TV show, I will download it.
I always forego the tv companies online "Catch Up" service as the quality of the streams are crap. Yet this is seen as me being an evil pirate by those in the industry.

Of course, the Battle of Midway actually took place in June of 194*2*... .

from memory "1943" was the 2 Player sequel to the successful "1942" which kind of explains the change in year for the Battle of Midway

I would look it up, but I will leave that for someone who cares about this more than me.

While the ability for copyright holders to apply to have repeat offenders disconnected remains in the legislation, it will not come into effect unless after two years it is shown that other less severe sanctions are ineffective.

Those sanctions include warning notices from ISPs to their customers informing them they have infringed copyright, and an extension of the Copyright Tribunal's jurisdiction to provide a fast-track, low-cost process to hear illegal file sharing claims.

The tribunal will also be able to award penalties of up to $15,000 based on damages sustained by the copyright owner.

  13. Not just comics on Which Comic Character Is the Greatest Engineer? · · Score: 1

Comics have the fine tradition of using fictional technological invention as a little more than a convenient plot device. This makes it little more than a magic item replacement for the technological age.

Am I the only one that would get frustrated that he would always give up with the equipment after just one attempt?

He usually had a *sound* plan with a sure-fire method which was thwarted by poor execution or random variables that statically would not affect a 2nd, 3rd or 4th attempt at the same method.

  16. People Entering Politics on Key Music Industry Lawyer Named EU Copyright Chief · · Score: 1, Interesting

The summary reads like this is of extra concern. Would there be concern if a previous Anti-Copyright campaigner got the seat? Would you rather someone with no knowledge on the topic got the position?

Peoples knowledge, experience and ideals always stems from where a person has come from: Be it business, culture, arts, community.

I would wager that most people aim for positions in political office because they either know about, care for, or are passionate in some way about the seat for which they aim. (and yes, passion can come from being paid to care)

Avoiding apple at all costs, my son was gifted a iPod by a family member a few weeks ago. One of the latest 4G devices. Without Jail Breaking the device, there is no way (that I have found) that I can get this to sync to my Ubuntu PC. I have searched forum after forum after forum.

I tried to purchase an Mp3 from amazon, it wanted me to use their default downloader. Which was not compatible with 64 bit linux
