I have a large rear projection Panasonic T.V. A model circa 10 years old - No longer sold, and not worth repairing. It did however require some alignment beyond standard convergence, so I contacted Panasonic to ask how to enter maintenance mode - Their reply: Such information is o propriety only being provided to authorised dealers/service people.
Frustrated, 5 minutes on Google gave me everything I needed to know which I then emailed to Panasonic, letting them know that I had the information anyway and that their assistance to one of their customers was beyond appalling. reply: none
How long is it going to take to get action on your counter-claim. If they can respond to your "wrong-doings" in such a quick time. I would like to know how quick they are to accept their own over zealous mistakes
This is not going to help explaining the differences to the Girlfriend when she says "Star Wars, Star Trek same thing..."
"The Star Wars franchise had a series of movies starting a bit over 30 years ago. They are about to make some new ones. The guy who did Lost is going to direct them. . Where as Star Trek had a series of movies starting circa 30 years ago. They are now making new ones. The guy who did Lost directs them...""
Yet now, how many newer Automatic cars are adding tiptronic, or sports shift? - Creating some bastardised hybrid of Auto and Manual that just feels and responds "wrong"
1. Have extra batteries and 2. Use a tablet holder where you don't want to hold your tablet - Attach it to some furniture. - Stretching this out to 2 different solutions is like patenting "...with a computer"
Ahhh to go back and have the full Amiga superiority complex again (actually, do we ever rid ourselves of it - I know I haven't)
Laughing at the EGA and VGA screens of the IBM compatibles in the computer stores when we knew our machines were at home displaying 4096 colors (not that we ever mentioned the fringing)
Oh and not to mention HAM8 with the AGA processor. Just as those IBM users (we did not start calling them P.Cs for some time) were catching up gave us something else to boast about.
And then Commodore went and stuffed it up. The idiots went broke on us. This was the biggest ego blow of all
If you cannot safely stop in the visible distance between you and any obstacle, you are going to fast.
This includes being able to stop if that vehicle in-front of you suddenly stops. This includes being able to stop should there be a boulder in the middle of the road just just over that rise, or around that corner.
So long as safe distances and speeds were observed, many incidents could be avoided. If all vehicles are "aware" of all other vehicles in their area and possibly connected by some "hive" mind there should be less.
I am not denying it is easy. Of the handful of people I know with the device (4). Most (3) were unaware that you could use anything other than the Amazon store and then thought that it sounded like too much work.
And while this may be a small sample - so too is my world. . Please excuse me while I put my head back in the sand:)
All the non-techys I know that have kindles have no idea how to put books on it that aren't on the Amazon store and think that it sounds too hard.. . . I have months of reading ahead of me on mine thanks to Project Gutenberg. http://www.gutenberg.org/
But I think that expecting the average Joe to know and find out about this stuff is a stretch. Amazon has made it too convenient.
Not being a regular on the Amazon store, I have only just learned that they offer free books (thanks to your post).
this reminds me of my Lawyer, Up until 5 years ago, everything was still being typed up on an electric typewriter. . Not a P.C. to be seen in his office.
Oh I was not stupid enough to let them know where I got it, only that it came from "the internet"

No, but it would be great to watch. .
I only read two solutions.
1. Have extra batteries and
2. Use a tablet holder where you don't want to hold your tablet - Attach it to some furniture. - Stretching this out to 2 different solutions is like patenting "...with a computer"
Thank you for making me spit my tea all over my keyboard and monitor... funniest one liner I have read in a while
Take a user who got the original iPhone and bought each new version of the iPhone. .

Agreed. Basic rules to save driving:
If you cannot safely stop in the visible distance between you and any obstacle, you are going to fast.
This includes being able to stop if that vehicle in-front of you suddenly stops.
This includes being able to stop should there be a boulder in the middle of the road just just over that rise, or around that corner.

What better a way to compete than stopping the competition.
A pre-emptive strike to neutralise an attack before it occurs.
Let the others know that they are welcome to try and compete, but you had better have a huge legal fund.
Could they try turning it off then on again?
Those seismologists were playing 3 card monty with us, Telling us to watch Ruapehu, keep your eyes on Ruapehu, and then, Tangariro blows.
At least they had the decency to change their name. History, National Geographic, I'm looking at you..

Our Local DVD store has just had a Subway installed inside.

You are a brave man admitting that around here.
