    That's the exception rather than the rule. Here in the western half of the US I have rarely ever received a useful signal on more than maybe a dozen over the air channels.

    Why the heck did they architect end-user versions of Windows to not only HAVE RPC but REQUIRE it for normal operations? The security bulletin on this sounds very much like the one for Blaster and we all know what a disaster THAT was.

    I can't. The closest I can imagine you'd get is something like Utah or an Arab country where a majority of people believe one way but not everyone. There will always be minorities.

    However having a standardized interface to a browser rendering engine isn't BS. I'm not sure I ever saw it before people started embedding IE. I think we got a windfall application from MS's anti-anti-trust(trust?) wranglings.

    And hence we got Maxthon. And maybe the store in Steam. Overall componenting the browser does seem to have turned out to be useful.

    I'm not entirely sure. Nicotine is pretty socially ingrained in some parts of the country. But it has no-where near the social prevalence of alchohol.

    Aside from the fact that I was talking about Kent State, not the definately post-Reagan LA riots. I was in elementary school at the time and people were genuinely frightened. There was way too much looting and violence in that riot to EVER equate it with a protest outside of the first few hours.

    I once got ahold of an old Sidewinder Freestyle. It didn't take me long to detach it and shove it in a drawer never to be seen again.

    One which often leaves you with less than living expenses these days. It's not as if anyone actually gives 40 hours a week with the economy like this, they're too busy trying to keep existing employees on the payroll.
