Route your traffic through China. Anything bad or even remotely offensive will be filtered out, and I hear they are on top of their shit keeping that stuff up to date.
It won't be long before we have public registries of parents whose kids misbehave in school
Probably not, but I wouldn't be surprised by a registry for teachers who taught kids who misbehave in school and were blamed by the parents for said students behavior.
Always remember: It's the teachers fault. Parents had nothing to do with it.
Interesting, I can install Linux fully configured in less than an hour these days, most of that time is waiting, while it takes me all day to install Windows because I have to hunt for drivers (typically without network support so I need two computers)
Your statement used to be true, it's not any more. Now it's the reverse. I use Linux now BECAUSE my time is valuable, and Linux just works out of the box. Tweaking is completely unnecessary, but remains an option if you are the type that likes that kind of stuff.
I think the one thing that would speed up adoption drastically would either be a Photoshop port, or getting Gimp up to a level where professionals can use it on the same level that they use Photoshop. Also, if we're going the Gimp route, then we need some real artists to start posting some super awesome art that just blows people away and convinces then that, yes, Gimp can do that!
And while that would be a major kick in the pants, nothing will boost Linux adoption like an ad campaign. A real one. With, you know, mainstream ads? Television?
"Hi, I'm Linux. You should install me over Windows because..."
Now, if we're going the game route, then it would not be sufficient to simply port a game to Linux. There would have to be an exclusive game, an experience that you can't get anywhere else, otherwise users would simply play said game on their existing platform of choice. Anyone got the millions to fork out for a game + marketing campaign needed to accomplish this?
Indeed, and I am currently in the process of calling 2015 in order to demand our memes, catchphrases and business models back. It's such a sad state of affairs that decades can't keep to themselves.
And his body. He's like a dolphin. His proportions are perfect for swimming. And then he's double jointed in his ankles, elbows, shoulders AND chest. His armspan is 10cm greater than his height. All he needs now are gills.
Your last claim is incorrect. Vista creates pirates, which as we all know reduce global warming.
Are you sure about that? Who in their right mind would pirate Vista? I would say that it drives potential pirates away, thereby contributing to global warming.
Simply put, you can leave a religion without fear of retaliation from the religious organization. Sure, you may go to hell, or whatever other dry threat they'll try to throw at you, but in the end it's your choice whether you want to stay or leave.
With a cult, leaving is out of the question. You will be harassed, intimidated, threatened, and in some cases killed. Cults also tend to attack their opponents, often brutally.
So there are christian cults out there, the FLDS seems to fit the bill because many of the women within that religion are trapped; whereas the mainstream Mormons (LDS) are not a cult since they teach that ultimately, you have your agency, and it's your right to use it as you please; and whatever consequences for doing so will come from God.
Most Baptist sects are also religions rather than cults (most, not all) because while they teach that you will go straight to hell and are damned if you leaveâ" they generally will not force you into staying.
Islam blurs the line, because it is very cult-like in some parts of the world but more like a religion in others; but the point is that it doesn't matter what bullshit the group teaches. They could teach that the world was created by a giant deity that resembles a flying spaghetti monster and they would still be a religion. But as soon as they make it difficult or even impossible to leave the group safely, then it crosses the line and becomes a cult, even if nothing else is changed.
Do you have to compile it yourself?

So... Google killed Etherpad.......... for this?

To be fair, Blender is getting a complete interface overhaul to make it more compliant with mainstream 3D apps. (and more intuitive)
For the love of god implement something like this. Everyone petition W3C. Currently I have to strip HTML tags from form input completely.
No, but we have trademarked it. Trademarks last longer.

Really? You're proud of what he did? I'd rather he had not existed, but that's just me.
I'm guessing it's the Tex Avery's First Law of Cartoon Dynamics. Very nasty, that one.

The 90s called, they want their argument back.

I didn't bother, it seemed to me an indication that the website is not worth reading.

Dolphins have gills?
My guess is some juvenile just discovered how to use the tagging system.

I'd say it's God's booger.

We don't need that anymore, we can just use services like http://rifftrax.com/
