Not really, I use DirecTV, and my MCE setup uses an IR blaster to change the channels on the box. It's not the most reliable way, but I'm sure you can do it with cable too.
The problem with ads is that they're distracting, slow down the browser, and that they potentially jeopardize security. This is why most people don't block Google's ads, they don't cause any of these problems. So, they kind of dug their own grave here.
Wouldn't this sort of thing discourage people from using things like Wikileaks to disclose sensitive information? Although I could see the argument for piracy, I think such a policy has the potential for being used in other ways that would ultimately hurt more then just pirates.
usually if someone really enjoyed the book, they want to support the author. This applies to the music industry as well, but to a grater extent for books.
I don't think you have to worry about too much, provided your book is worth something.
Isn't cyberbullying basically harassment? Why do we need a seperate law? how would they enforce this, it's easy to fake this stuff due to the nature of the internet.
Also, I think a lot of these cases are caused by problems with the 'victim' themselves, the harassment just acts as a catalyst.

A system that would allow one to register a particular idea in a large database of ideas. Once an idea is registered in the system, one must compensate the original registrant of that idea in order to implement the idea in a product. Failure to comply would result in a lawsuit by the idea's registrant.

...or the cloud could reflect sunlight back into space, which would slow down global warming...
Good thing we never put lasers into space... who knows what would have happened then.
Re-implementing windows' libraries must be enough to drive someone to drink, so I would assume so.
