    Because the code I wrote is not what is being executed, and if it was, we would not have the level of performance we have today. Moreover, the level of complexity of today's computer. Moreover, tolerance are such in the physical world that a construction guy can afford to "cut corners", whereas software is a lot less tolerant to a bad input, remember, it's a dumb automaton.

    Everybody seems to forget that soy based product are rich in estrogen, and their consumption has a direct impact on male. If we need something, is it not more feminized male, but less.

    I've not been that healthy since I started to actually put meat in my diet. Generally, either pork / beef / chicken and tuna everyday.

    The problem is that this field is has all but a competitive nature. You will never have N different electricity feed from N different providers coming to your house. The competition is merely virtual.

    Putting Ayn Rand and Christian in the same basket is pretty outrageous. Christian, probably more on the catholic side, philosophy is based on altruism, not selfishness. Selfishness is what is fueling the Internet and *new* tech, always doing better and being on the edge. It has driven mankind from outside their caves to aim for *better* lives. Criticizing selfishness while enjoying all its fruits is rather hypocrite and the realm of socialist elitist eating caviar and drinking champagne...

    Looks at CVE-2014-0160 and the almost public shaming the guy has to go though for an understandable bug. The same behaviour in software is not that far away...

    AFAIK, in Canada, there is nothing criminal in professional irresponsibility. At worst, the crown would have to prove mens rea, which is pretty much impossible to prove on an employed individual.
