The point of drug screening isnt to prove that the applicant doesnt do drugs. The point of drug screening is to prove that the application doesnt have such a big problem that they cant go without.
You pass a drug screening by not doing drugs for a few weeks. If you cant do that then the drugs are more important to you than the job, and who wants to hire you then?
India has a portion of its population that is larger than the total United States population that lives on less than $1/day. They have nothing but the tattered rags on their bodies.
What these people don't need is some douche bag westerner preaching to them about the people that might die, someday, due to global warming. Hundreds of thousands of them die every year right now due to poverty and the solution to their poverty is cheap energy. Those same douche bag westerns preaching about global warming actively prevent it. They are actively killing real people right now.
When you've been working the same job for 15 years, you start getting worried that if you had to get a new job that its going to suck in comparison in some major way (more work, less pay, what-have-you.)
Sometimes times are good. Sometimes times are bad. Sometimes the company hires. Sometimes the company lays off.
The most senior people are worried about the layoffs. They dont care who gets hurt so long as they don't. Its really is extremely selfish.
I am a member of a union at a business that wasn't unionized before I started and later unionized under an existing union. I watched the whole process, from the stirring up of discontent, to the empty promises about what unionization will mean, to the eventual negotiated union contract that doesnt live up to the hype, to the contractual protection of seniority above all else.
The union does negotiate raises whenever the contract is up. Its the only time anyone gets a raise. The amount of raises they have negotiated so far is less than what the company was giving out automatically before unionization. The union also really screwed up the health insurance, allowing the company to pull coverage for non-generic drugs (not all drugs have a generic alternative) because the union bargaining committee is a bunch of rubes.
Non-union positions at the same company dont have any of the issues that the union positions have. But those senior employees... they got their protection.
If you try to make a totally independent fresh union of a few employees to negotiate with some giant company like GM, they will wipe the floor with you. A little less than if it were just you, of course, but you still aren't at parity.
if you try to negotiate your salary in a union shop, you will be expelled from the union by the union and not allowed to work anymore by the federal government.
The UAW will wipe the floor with you long before GM does, with the federal government as its weapon, if you want to negotiate your salary.
Why on earth do you think that Tesla Motors' target is anything _other_ than zero?
Because that leftist dipshit doesnt realize that he is suggesting that the evil Elon Musk will suicidally work on his own dangerous assembly line.
No... their thinking and arguments dont make sense when you put their long string of claims together. its because they dont actually know what they are talking about. They just feel what they are talking about.
DS9 got good when it stopped being a show peddling simplistic morality.
In a way some might argue that this new show is starting off on that same foot given the SJW involvement. After all, simplistic morality is what the SJW's claim to represent (they dont know that what they think is simplistic.)
Consider the phrase "it goes without saying"
The SJW's feel the need to say the things that go without saying, constantly. Every waking moment is dedicated to projecting those things that go without saying.
If someone walked around saying "you can trust me" all the time, are they trustworthy?
If someone projects that they arent racists, sexists, or homophobes all the time, are they really?
The push for diversity, as Marvel has found, can't come at the expense of your target audience.
Marvel found that "pushing for diversity" isnt a good business model, that those loud people that think something is wrong unless every single box is checked... are a minority.
The original Star Trek only ran for 3 seasons, but created a *HUGE* following, and led to several movies, a few of which were actually good. TNG was a reboot and it lasted for 7 seasons, and also had a HUGE following. It followed the same formula, and it did great!
A season when TOS was made was 26 episodes with a new season every year. A "modern" season is 13 episodes with a new season every year and a half.
A hard drive manufacturer notices that the last 50000 drives coming off the line are having issues... either via their QC or from feedback from merchants... well then now thats a batch headed exclusively to the retailers that negotiated the lowest wholesale prices.
A retailer like Walmart doesnt care that the item is of lower quality than is typical because people returning items is part of their business model of getting people back into the store to buy more stuff. Think about it... if you are returning an item to Walmart then you are probably also going to buying some more stuff. You took the time to drive down there, and they even sell groceries... so there you are: Your return is partly subsidized by the extra profits they make on items you pick up while returning something.
A retailer like Staples on the other hand, if you are returning something to Staples it is unlikely that you will be leaving with anything other than a replacement item or money back, so Staples didnt negotiate the contract that ensured that they would get the worst products off the line. Walmart did. Some Amazon seller might have. Staples didn't.
I agree that mail-order returns are difficult, which is why I dont buy anything mail-order if I can get it locally.
Things like monitors, headphones, webcams, mice, keyboards, hard and thumb drives,.... all of them can be sourced locally from multiple locations, and all of those locations have even friendlier return policies than this change gives Amazon.
On top of that, it is a fact that some retailers make sure higher quality items are on the shelves precisely because of their return policy. A business like Staples for instance, an office supply company, doesn't typically get that sketchy batch of hard drives to begin with because companies like Walmart and Amazon resellers actively encourages getting the sketchy batch themselves because they insisted on such low wholesale prices.
The number of classes is irrelevant. Even if each line of code produced 100 bytes of binary which is a very generous to your position value, and the software is 200 MB binary, that still means 2 million lines of code, right?
Why does facebooks app have 2 million lines of code?
The answer is: IT CERTAINLY DOESNT
The answer is also: YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT
The answer finally is: STOP MAKING THINGS UP
My guess is crap like a language support pack is done poorly using grossly inefficient data hierarchy format(s) and that these language support packs just keep growing in size and number and that the whole language support monstrosity is shipped to everybody.regardless of what language they speak.

However, our public education system is ...?!
To the focus on the latest trendy social event everyone has to do something about, which will be forgotten about in 11.83 seconds.
With Firefox's memory leaks, I'm pretty sure that it forgets to deallocate memory much faster than 11.83 seconds.
The browser is fine
That Chinese propaganda technique was apparently invented by Mozilla.
Hate to break it to ya, but radiative material with a half-life of 1000 years isnt very dangerous.
Its the stuff with much shorter half lives that are dangerous.
Exactly.

Nah, its not about incompetence.

Now stop talking about shit you are ignorant of.

Its the same thing. A false front.
The push for diversity, as Marvel has found, can't come at the expense of your target audience.
Marvel found that "pushing for diversity" isnt a good business model, that those loud people that think something is wrong unless every single box is checked... are a minority.
You mean, like, say, nerds?
20% of the population, so fits in.
In general you find the employees that are pushing for a union are also the most senior employees.
The union will then protect them over everyone else based on their superior seniority.
Its just selfish. It isnt about communism.
So you are saying he is just like you?
He refuted your point. Completely refuted it.
You claimed that Musk demands work from people. Apparently a slave owner in your view.
Hyperbole isnt a point no matter how much you exaggerate. Instead, its dishonest shit from someone thats got nothing else but dishonest shit.

I have been assuming it's a term for people who are so enamored with the idea of fighting for civil rights
You shouldnt assume.
No, thats not a class, thats a class instance.
Class instances consume memory at runtime. They do not consume memory in the applications binary.
Social Issues effect society. SJW issues effect the 1%... the weird 1% that doesnt fit in
It is exactly this.
In the beginning was the CGA/EGA 16-color text mode palette.
They've adjusted some of those colors a little bit.
Exactly.

psst:
The base size of a class is 0 bytes.

Google runs a "sex trafficking website" called "google.com"" by any reasonable interpretation of the proposed legislation.
The size of the objective lens is the only determining factor w.r.t. how much light enters the system. Full physics stop, dumbfuck.
There is a better reason that "its all been done"
Patents are there to discourage trade secrets. Features of your public product cannot be a trade secret by definition.
It all went to hell when design patents were thought up. Prior to that, patents were only on manufacturing techniques.
