Even if you believe that this woman was a victim of mob harassment, it is immaterial to the fact that she started the fight by dumping on some guy giving an honest opinion. "Mansplaining" is one of the most disgusting ideas in the world; it casts in a villanous light the act of making conversation.
Don't fuck around with my user experience. If I see something I think would help, I'll ask for it. If I didn't go looking for a solution, there wasn't a problem.
No, that isn't what I meant. The issue is that your definition of sex work is too strict, both by the standards of those performers, who generally self-identify as sex workers, and by the standard of this law, which would make it just as hard for them to advertise.
Porn isn't (or rather, wasn't before this dumbass law) illegal. They are also sex workers, as are strippers, which are also legal. But it now isn't legal to advertise for them.
The key issue here is that people like you know that already and are playing dumb. Conflating all these issues allows you to impress your moral standards on other people. Get out of my country.
It's not even arguable. Stiff penalties for crimes of strict liability are a way for the legislature to immediately force any entity that uses other peoples' money (i.e., almost all businesses) to change their behavior in ways that could be interpreted, even in a completely cross-eyed way, to break the law. This is the driving force of chilling effect, and it's why people who provide public venues aren't supposed to be liable for how the public uses them.
The vast majority of employers don't allow employees to defend themselves. In many areas, people who want to carry in strict accordance with the law basically can't leave their house, permit or no. There are too many places you can't even go to the parking lot of according to either law or company policy.
Of course, that's why "concealed" is in the name of the document.
This could only have been written by somebody who barely even knows what streaming is. Almost everyone tries it at some point. The proportion of those who establish regular output is miniscule. Of those, the proportion that gets paid off either gender is half of a nothing. You know who does get paid, very consistently? Titty streamers. Everyone knows this. Twitch doesn't bother them because they're one of the biggest income streams. This shit is fake. It's propaganda, plain and simple.
God forbid the man be right about something, even if it is motivated entirely by petty spite. The fact that the partnership is good for the USPS isn't equivalent to it being good for commerce in general. Amazon is too fucking big. It's dangerous.
The only way you would've heard "yanny" is if you have no idea what shitty audio compression sounds like. You can use this thing and slide it all the way over to "yanny" and if you're familiar with this sort of thing it still sounds like "laurel" with awful compression.
Every week there's another article about some ridiculous new shit literally thousands of people are doing that's ruining everything, and it's absolutely never relevant outside either LA or SF. When are we sending these assholes back to their home planet?
One of the historical seeds of the prison reform movement was when the Quakers, after researching the state of inmates after long incarceration, concluded that the death penalty was the moral option.
With life imprisonment as the other option, it is far more humane. That would be true if we had Swedish prisons, which are practically luxury apartments. Being caged and isolated do severe damage to the human psyche. The only legit moral issue with the death penalty is that it's imperative to be completely sure you have a guilty man; admittedly, our system is awful at this.
Yelling at brands is something people mostly did for catharsis at first, but since some companies started responding, users have developed the expectation that this is a valid customer service channel. I've actually got very prompt attention this way. It makes sense, because if your good customer service happens in a public space, it's also good PR.
That was discussed on slashdot last week I think. Basically: there are no plans to modernize it. There are barely plans to maintain it. The barrier to doing so is that it already exists underneath one of the largest and most stupidly regulated cities in the world, as opposed to being built sometime in the last century under a city where you can actually build things.
Blaming young people for the 80s/90s deregulation wave is the most powerfully boomer move I've ever seen.

Whoever voted this down should be ashamed of themselves and probably didn't even read it.

If Congress legitimately had the power to stop the publication of anything without value, people wouldn't be arguing with Anonymous Coward right now.
The correct term for a private collector of things with no monetary value is "asshole."
The legal negative space of being in your car and unable to behave as if it's your property is just reason #536 to not drive for Uber.

That's the joke

Amazing new study shows people will lie for $600
Good luck. I have a coherent definition, but it won't make things any easier.

Should we fly our flags at half mast

If the job description doesn't include the words "pig shit lagoon" or "car accident victim," I'm pretty sure you can fuck off.
They have those about every five minutes and still aren't building.
