I don't understand at all, not even slightly why you are calling it a problem? I only worked in a permanent full time position while attending a university. Once I was done with the education (which I paid for with my earnings) I immediately quit on purpose to find a contract exactly not to be a full time employee. I was still busy full time (more than full time) but I was making contractor wages, which were easily 2x ro 3x higher than wages of full time employees. That is exactly what allowed me to save and make various investments, to start my own businesses.
For years I have been commenting on the way that browsers treat self signed certificates, it was always ridiculous and inconsistent. Sites with self signed certs were treated as if they were hacked by definition while HTTP traffic was not marked as insecure at all. At least at this point there will be some consistency to the way that HTTP and celf signed certificates are treated.
I have two teams in different countries, 16 people in total for now. I strictly dictate the languages and frameworks that we use, I strictly dictate the build environments, I control the deployment and the production myself. I do not dictate the development tools that much, it is a personal preference. I dictate the overall archotecture, how things must fit together, priorities. You have to force people to work together in a particular way otherwise things go to hell quickly. I stopped people from doing whatever the hell comes into their heads more than once, that is my job, if somebody came in with the bright idea to do things on their own and wouldn't have stopped after the first meeting (once, daily), that person would have been fired immediately. I had to fire someone with that attitude earlier last year.
Hell, I may start a business building autonomous machines that with some minimal hacking could be used for this purpose. AFAIC everybody and anybody with the means of protecting themselves against the mob, the governments should be able to do it. I am hoping for the future where individual freedoms can be truly protected.
That is socialism and it is theft, that is what is happening there. All of these social safety nets, income taxes, property taxes, all of this theft, which I am against, Norway is using it to prop up inefficiencies that lead to this perception discussed in the story. This is theft and wealth dissipation.

If a union exists at all it must not have any government protection, nobody should. Since unions have these privileges, limiting these privileges by law is increasing FREEDOM.

In my estimation this was inevitable, I fully do not understand how a company of that size can provide free servers, free electricity, free traffic, free support, free development forever. Our services rely on Google APIs but over the past 12 months we have been slowly working towards providing these types of services for our own product on our own, however it is difficult. Google provides fast, reliable services that are ready and do not require our support, our hosting, etc. We are going to keep using Google for some portion of our service of-course, it will be a while before we can truly migrate and even if we do migrate we will keep the option of using Google and maybe just billing our customers more for that privilege, after all if the client wants to use more expensive Google services he should be able to. Thanks Google for being there from the beginning so that we could start providing our services based on your API, it's appreciated.

Where do you see this evolution towards cooperation? I see evolution towards oppression of the individual by the collective. The laws are becoming more and more draconian, the systems of oppression grow their power. Individuals are falling in line and/or getting more depressed as this happens. Those with more initiative than others find creative ways to scam the system or go against it and get crushed. I see a conveyor belt with lots of police and oppressive systems built into it, not a society.

It makes no sense at all to run a company only to make 2-5 times the average employee salary. I would not have started a company if I thought that working for myself would only give me 100-400 percent raise, that is because to start it took all of ny savings, a significant amount of debt and a complete change of life style. Instead of taking contracts, which is very similar to just working for hire and instead of making 140-220k a year I had to use my own money without any new income coming in for near a decade and I had to find my own ckients, come up with my own plan as to how ti do everything, do a bunch of stuff that I never wanted to learn to do in the first place, breath and live the business. No time off, no vacations, constant stress, constant pressure, no matter what you are feeling or how your health is doing, no matter what it does to your personal life (hint - there is no life, it is all just functioning, not living).
Under those conditions if the best I could ever hope for would have been 2-5 average salaries I would have simply kept being a contractor, already making that much.
100-500 times the average salary (or more) is where this becomes tolerable, I can say that with certainty now
1. Nothing should be done to help any government in any way. 2. Everything that governments do is bad by the very definition, since it is done by oppression. Government is oppression in law, it is by definition bad.
3. Whether a government wages a war or not it is bad by definition.
4. A government 'winning' a war is bad, it makes for a stronger government, which by its nature is bad.
5. Government becoming either larger or more efficient at whatever it is doing is bad by definition.
6. Any company doing anything for any government is engaged in bad behavior by the very fact that it is doing something at all for any government purpose.
7. Military or non military, government involvement and very existence is bad.
What is gained is the principle of not participating, not collaborating and not cooperating with any government agenda.
The only fair tax is 0 on income, 0 on payroll, 0 on wealth.
