Long term rates for long term education adjust in an actual free market. Worst case scenario you cannot get a loan at all, so you have to either collect the money before you start your education or ask somebody to help you out privately, which is exactly how capitalism should handle it.
Natural resources are not at all based on the labour required to extract them, that's just the cost of production. Natural resources are based on the demand placed on the market and the available supply.
