  1. Re:Why.... on Do You Want Best Buy Opening Your New Laptop? · · Score: 0

Once they started selling ASUS products I became a "little bit" interested in Best Buy; however, ASUS computers come from the factory with enough crapware to begin with. I don't need my new computer molested by a geeksquad and have even more crap added to it. Not to mention, it technically isn't new anymore, is it?

I buy all my ASUS laptops from newegg, and will continue to do so.

Lots of private companies have tried to build electric and other high mileage cars, most never succeed.

Several years ago I was closely following a company called ZAP(zero auto pollution). They promised MANY nice affordable electric cars. None have made it or been sold in USA, except one called the Zebra. The one I wanted was call an Obvio. Here is an Article about some of the ZAP stuff. http://blog.wired.com/cars/2008/03/the-zap-x-and-a.html

I think its great that innovative people are trying, and we should help them somehow without getting scammed. Because the truth is most models will never see the general public.

  4. They should only have on version on MS Confirms Six Different Versions of Windows 7 · · Score: 0

I don't understand the greed if MS sometimes.
They should release one version "Ultimate" for $99 thats it.
If a user wants to scale down to a business, at install tell it and it will reduce the add-ons. If you need a light "CE" version tell it at install and have it strip all the garbage.
At that price point and feature level anyone that would have downloaded or hacked it for free may very well buy it instead. The days of trying to squeeze people for every last penny are over. Evolve to the market you big dumb asses.

I just told 3 different friends to get Seagate drives because they have a 5 Year warranty and Ive never had any problems with them. My sister bought a 1.5 TB Seagate external for pictures and backup reasons. I guess Ill tell her to back up the back up? Quality from all the different manufacturers does seem to be cyclical, and Ive had many WD and Maxtor drives fail on me over the years.

I have never had a fully usable Ubuntu install yet. Something is always broken. The standard problem is the wireless utilities suck. Even after messing around with custom drivers like Madwifi etc Ubuntu still wont connect to WPA2. Vista seems to work for me just fine.

  8. Add it to the stack? on Mythic Launches Warhammer Online · · Score: 1

Should I buy this game..and add it to my fucking $200.00 stack of failed or failing MMORPGS that I didn't play longer than 30 days.

DDO (Dungeons and dragons online) - Much Hype, no fun, only group play to do anything..boring.

LOTRO (Lord of the rings online)- Much Hype Great graphics..stutter play..no one around..Bored again.

VANGUARD - Talk about hype..holy shit this was THE one, Nice graphics, ok game play, very buggy, not many people stayed.. got bored again.

AOC( Age of Connan) - Again Much Hype, Ok graphics, again got bored, everyone bailed.

WARHAMMER - MUCH HYPE AGAIN? - whats gonna happen? great graphics, great PvP, but will people get bored again and bail?

I played all the above games, I tried to like them, I spent considerable time playing, grouped with people etc. The problem is these games are trying to compete with games like WOW and EQ2 that have had years to fix bugs and make things work smoothly, these new games have lots of things wrong and most people don't want to sit thorough the bug fix process of a year or two as they refine the games. I might be spoiled by the finish and graphics of EQ2..I still play that and Eve Online. I am still looking for a replacement, but I'm not going to be so fast to jump aboard the HYPE MACHINE. Ill keep my eye on Warhammer, but Im not buying in YET!!

Well, I sasked your door permission to open by turning the handle, and when it did, since it was unlocked, I entered your house while you were gone today. Since nothing was bolted to your floor, I proceeded to help myself to your TV and associated A/V equipment, your PVR, your Playstation 3, and your Wii. Additionally, your study door similarly allowed me to enter your study, where I noticed some computer equipment that wasn't chained to the desk, so I left with that, too. Since your doors granted me permission to enter your house, and they were acting on your behelf since they are on your house, you have no reason to complain. Right? When your door is in MY living room, sure!!
