i simply boot up my families "first" computer and play on windows 98se. bunches of nice games for it. add irony is that its my only windows computer. While if i wanted to really go old school i would fire up the mac classic i have sitting under my desk and play the couple of games that are on that, although to be honest i don't do that often anymore due to the fact that the original keyboard and mouse got broken(stupid movers dropped the box it was all in snapping the keyboard and mouse to pieces, but the computer was wrapped in lots of bubble wrap). mac classic is strange when using a real keyboard but the shortcuts aren't always easy coming from a debian background.
First off.....Congratulations on your surviving cancer. Let no further comment from me detract that congratulations.
Second though...... If you grew up in texas i wouldn't be a bit surprised by the jump in "skills" that your "Home and or Hospital" schooling provided. My little bro is in 9th grade now and is now getting into algebra. In MN Algebra was 7th grade math(required class).
Microsoft will probably be out of business before you finished your 4 year. Go with something different than just Cisco and M$. Shoot see if you can't get a Linux "General/Non-Distribution-specific" and a Distribution-specific cert.
What do you get when you multiply 6 times 9. That was the question, and i absolutely love showing people how 6 * 9 == 42. Its like they have an epiphany.
It was the point of my comment. It seems so many commenters on this story are thinking that the reversion number(major.minor.reversion) doesn't matter, but i think RS doesn't want to go the same path as M$ and have such large reversion numbers.
I know everyone may believe that Osama was behind al Qaeda and directly ordered all of the attacks. However, i would like to remind everyone of something./n
This Is The United States of America that killed him./n
Here in the US we are supposed to be Innocent until proven guilty in a Court Of Law. I don't remember a trial of any kind. Do the "Terrorist's" deserve the presumption of innocence that the US constitution guarantees? That seems to be the argument surrounding Guantanamo. Should the US have killed Osama bin Laden without a trial?/n
My answer is no. I say that because it shows that the US government is demonstrating that the laws of the country do not apply to them. The US government(and likely alot of other governments around the world) all claim that they have proof of Osama bin Laden's role in al Qaeda, but the trial by public opinion is not a trial by LAW./n
Before you moderate against me i would like to point out something. How many times....well lets narrow it down a little.... How many times since 9/11 has the US government be caught deceiving the people of the world. 10 times? 20 times? 100 times?
shoot....now i am running both FF3.6.16 and Chromium 6.0.472.63 built on debian.....and i am not having any problems still..... i don't think this build of chromium is based on the newest version of chrome but it sure seems light enough
one reply i made to parent

i leave firefox open for a week(or so) at a time.... reload all tabs about once an hour(or so) and usually end up with 100+ tabs before i go through and clean them up(last time i did that had 120 tabs),, reason for cleaning is usually system slow-down..... my most common memory hog is plugin-container(watch 5 or 6 youtube videos between reload all tabs)..... but my point is..... Why does everyone say FF is leaky?
the only winblows system in this house is a Win vista 2(aka win7...wtf?) and that one is always crashing and blaiming FF. The usual cause of the crash is actually the Windows Printer Substem crashing, but windows blaims FF cause FF called the WPS. So please stop blaiming FF just cause windows says it is FF. Also as an aside consider various Microsoft tools claim your system is secure but other installed tools say you got 20 different viruses, malwares, etc.
side note....fsck it it won't let me use paragraphs the posting feature just crushes everything together

[....].... i am currently running firefox 3.6.16 via untarring the linux installer into my home folder... i am running debian squeeze on a p4 3.0, 1g ram, it seems my 2gig swap partition isn't loaded/mounted, onboard video, and creative live sound card and have...80 tabs open(most of which being 4chan's/w/ Threads so there is lots of images)....plus BetterPrivacy, DownThemAll, FlashBlock, FlashGot, gTranslate, HTTPS-Everywhere, NoScript, Personas, Text to Voice Extensions running.
Surely with Firefox 3.6.X series of browsers you should be able to do what you want to do on your current computer. Although it may be hard to find anymore.
....first note...... i forgot to login before posting ""parent""

i love how moot claims Anonymity is important when 4chan does its best to block Tor. its gotten to be i don't even check the site very often even when i don't use Tor because of 4chan's !Stated! prejudice against people who use Tor for the expressed purpose of being anonymous.
just my 2 cents.... i downloaded the iso thursday evening(day of release) realized my cdrw's got used for coasters(damn kids) so i chroot installed it and guess what.... it just work grant this is a p4 with 1g of ram but damn its nice.... already building liveusbs for the family to use.... musical computers/netbooks/laptops/friends' computers uggghh but i haven't been able to find problems....maybe because i installed it alternative cd to ubuntu-standard to lubuntu-desktop(once i got a new set of cdrw's) but i can't find a problem...except that if your disk is meant to be scanned on mount it scans in the background still booting all the way to gui (separate/home partition) but hey once i figured that out its all good
used ubuntu since 6.06 and only look back so i can laugh(upgrade from 98se and 2kpro)

.... on a side note what does the latest windows say for its "build number" isn't a fully updated "7" now like windows nt 6.5.4300???
