but I find the TODO: comments helpful during development. You can also define custom tags in Visual Studio.NET to easily annotate code and quickly find the tags later on using the task list.
Granted, I don't know if it's patent-worthy, but it is a helpful tool that I've not seen elsewhere.
I heard a couple nights ago on Marketplace that the founders (of Google) where trying to persuade the investment bankers (or whoever needs persuading) to allow the auctioning of some of the stock, so that the general public could really get in on the bottom floor.
Otherwise, they made it sound like it would mostly be big investors (ie mutual funds) that would get the bulk of the shares.
I agree with the sibling post, in that when I've researched how to obtain a clearance, I've found that you need to be hired first and have your employer help you get the clearance.
I didn't see it specifically mentioned, but it appears as if this storage is all on one drive.
For that much cash, I think I'd prefer to have two drives, half the size, that replicate each other automagically in case of the failure of one of the drives.
This isn't the first time that Shatner has worked with Ben Folds. He performs a great spoken word track on Folds' side project album, "Fear of Pop: Volume 1".
I just installed the last beta/release candidate/whatever last night, using the ~4MB boot.iso image available in the "images" directory of the distribution. I was able to install over FTP without any problems. Just a heads up for those who don't want to download between 1 and 3 CD's.
It's good to see that the Hams are in action and all, but do you think it's very responsible to be slashdotting the servers of organizations providing emergency services in a disaster?
My guess is that they'll use MSDE, which is already freely available and "royalty free". I think it's basically just the core of SQL Server without any of the extra tools.
Opera provides a shortcut (Ctrl+Alt+V) that uploads the source of the active frame to the W3C validation page automagically and displays the validation results.
I'm working full-time as a developer with a small business in South Dakota (A dot-com that didn't crash!). I'm making over $30K a year, which is quite a lot when living expenses amount to about $600 a month.
I consider myself extremely lucky and do not plan on leaving unless I have guaranteed employment elsewhere.
Why not check it out yourself? They offer a free 14-day introduction, and you can cancel any time within that span without paying anything. I tried it, and love it, it's definitely worth the 10 bucks I pay every month.
What other books would people recommend for someone interested in network security (specifically using Open Source tools)? I'm currently reading Building Internet Firewalls which has been extremely helpful to my understanding of architecture issues. Any other jems I should be looking at?
I can't pass up an opportunity to plug, "Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid". I found it in the philosophy section of my local bookstore a month ago and have been devouring it ever since.

I don't know
which is worse,
reading or
writing comments
for slashdot on
my cell phone.
Keep up the great
work Miguel.

Is there any other way to go about it?
I guess it's not all one big drive.
Nevermind.

Half a terabyte should be enough for anybody

Eh?

Have you checked out Advanced Linux Programming? That combined with a good book on C++ would probably give you what you're looking for.
Carhenge!
The Winamp installer places an AOL icon on the desktop now, too.
Ugh.
I thought this looked familiar:
Exhibit A
Kuro5hin also has a good article on GoboLinux.

According to this page, that's 5 LOC's (give or take).
I think the 2.5 kernel is about ready for launch.
Just need to clear up this last bug.

Sounds like an info-mercial. Oh well.

Thanks.
I don't know which is funnier, this post, or the fact that it's modded "+4: Flamebait".

Here's an Amazon Link
Whoa, no offense intended, I just wanted to make sure, one music lover to another.
:)
I don't know about you, but I couldn't give two shits about the record sales of RIAA "artists".
And be fair, not _all_ of the Dead's studio stuff blows
Peace
