If more women wanted to be developers they could just start their own start-up, like many men have.
Personally I'd prefer to date women that are geeky and by geeky I mean actually geeky not just that she wears a hello kitty t-shirt and black rimmed glasses.
However, I found my options are to hold out for something like that and give up sex or compromise just hope she's not some needy woman that can't live with the fact I may want to do things on my own sometimes. Hell, even with sex, sometimes it's nice to go back to the basics and jerk off once in awhile.
Let me guess, this is going to be permanently outdated like Mono and there were no catches they'd just say it's free. They will revoke the promise when it suits them.
That and from my experience of Silverlight on Windows, it's shit. As far as Flash replacements go, it's like replacing a turd with a turd that's been polished with your father's semen.
To be fair he said people in the military are so stupid and mentioned kids aiming for a career in the military. Contractors aren't necessarily those kids, in fact they're probably from the private sector and brought in cheap. Which invalidates his claim, imo, that military is infinitely easier than the private sector.
Also, having spent my life working in the private sector, I've seen more than my fair share of incompetence.
The military is no different from the outside. They have wasters and most of them will fill the low-end jobs but that's how it is on the outside too. The only thing they have over the outside world is job security but that's because most of them are expected to die for their job. I think that's a fair trade-off.
Loads of things are hacked outside of the military. I'm not saying the military is perfect, it's far form it, but it's certainly no worse than the private sector. In fact a lot of their software comes from the private sector.
He has his licence to fly helicopters. While I'm not saying anyone can fly a helicopter, the bar is lower than to fly a jet. Hence the reason he can go around telling people he sucks at maths but wants to fly helicopters.
This is generally why I click on ads on Slashdot and no other site. The ads are generally straight forward, not too much Flash and it's for things that interest me.
I have zero interest in punching the monkey or shooting the duck.
Yeah because being a computer engineering in the military is some how infinitely easier than in the private sector which allows the stupid kids to do it after school. They let just anyone fly jets too.
I can see people in the US holding out longer but that's because being the capitalist free-market beacon that it is, the banks don't do anything to help consumers they just fuck their customers up the ass all day. This is despite the fact credit unions offer much better deals.
Last time I was over there you still had to pay a fee to use a ATM machine not owned by your bank. In fact just about everything you do has a fee attached. Having less than a certain amount of money in a chequeing account can result in a fee. If I have less than $200 in my account maybe I'm a bit strapped for cash. Charging me a fucking fee won't improve that.
I think the UK is actually more of a free market than the US. Things are more likely to go in the consumer's favour to help win them over.
Paypal, cash, just transfer funds between accounts via your online banking. There are probably other ways but between those 3 do you really need anything else? Two of the options are completely free.
Just think, it's not going to improve because people seem to have it in their head that broadband through out the US isn't necessary and some how impossible. Enjoy your slow purchases when cheques are phased out.
I set up an online shop for a small business. It wasn't that expensive, cheques will likely get expensive when the only people using them are a handful of small businesses.
Lastly, why not take cash? Hell, use it in your favour and fiddle your taxes with ease.
I doubt it's legal to say the news can't report on something because its name is trademarked. That would allow for major abuse by companies wanting to silence the meda.
Secondly, I did a search on his name and he's not in the US copyright database. He needs to prove he owns the copyright and lastly, does he not mean trademark? I'm not sure about the US but I would guess a name or title can't be copyrighted but registered as a trademark and he's not in TESS either.
With the exception of my EEE, which I don't really get a choice, I always go with AMD. I've never had issues with them, they're cheaper and quite frankly I'll never forgive Intel for introducing such shitty video cards into the PC market.
I opt for ATI because it's supporting AMD but more importantly I was very impressed with my laptop's graphics card. I've had the laptop for sometime and it still performs well. It's the best video card I've had in a laptop by far.

True. Credit Unions won't do that. People need to start picking the better options rather than just accepting that the banks will screw you.
The free market doesn't work if consumers just roll over like a dog.

Of course but that's the way it is with anything. Otherwise rocket scientist would be a low paid job.

Ads are generally ok as long as they're not flash. There is nothing worse than a site with a load of god awful Flash ads.

Yet people are fine with the fact that paying with legal tender should result in the authorities investigating you? Sad really.
Of course you can do what many people do any just transfer the money from your bank to theirs. Which is all a cheque is but much faster.
Then transfer it by your bank account. I can pay a bill of any size online for free. You can probably do it by going in the bank as well.

Debit cards aren't hard for old people to use. It's just that a lot of people use being old as an excuse for being stupid.

You can do it online, over the phone or put card details on the form as people would do before the internet.
We have one and it's cash. We don't need a second one that is unnecessarily expensive.
Cancer will be issuing a DMCA take-down notice and sue the pants off the scientists for cracking its code.
I'm not saying my way holds any relevance. It's just my preference.

I suggest the convicted rapist blow out his ass.
One more time and he would have appeared in your room.
You can't use VLC with a turtle-neck sweater and maintain that pretentious twat aura.

Our intranet works perfectly fine without IE6. Not everyone was dumb enough to think IE6 would be around forever.
