The difference between cats & dogs is that a dog wants to please you and the cat can't really be fucked what you think. It's just like people who think cats can't view things on a TV / monitor. I've seen cats chase mouse cursors but in general they don't care one bit because they know it's nothing good.
I've had a cat learn how to open a door via the knob without being taught. But it doesn't have hands so after it awhile it realised it doesn't have a hope in hell and doesn't try again. She knew how to open the small refrigerator too but again didn't have the strength and gave up.
I think dogs are the same. They don't care about the same things as us and for the most part they have what they need so where is the incentive to learn? People are like that too. The good life makes most living beings lazy and stupid.
Of course cats or dogs will never be as smart as an adult human but I think people are giving 2 year olds too much credit. They're not that smart either. The only difference is they want to be like all the other humans and therefore have more incentive to improve and they have the added benefit of being surrounded by other humans that have a load of knowledge already and want the child to improve.
If you want to be treated as an adult having an adult conversation then you shouldn't use such a dumb argument like DOS support. There was a reason people modded you a troll.
What do you mean "how the net works and why it is bad"? There is nothing bad about how the net works. News paid for advertisement is the same as advertisement funded TV news. The difference is that there is much more competition and it's not just a few mega-corporations controlling the information. So it's harder for his networks, like Fox news to blow shit up people's asses.
If you ask me that's a huge improvement over the old model and not a bad thing.
Lastly, Murdoch has fuck all knowledge of how the net works. This is proven by him trying to bully Amazon, get people to pay for his shitty "news" and by paying half a billion for MySpace which has been nose diving since the second he touched it. I fail to see where you get the idea that he understand the net.
The economy is shit at the moment and I think people are coming around to realising that a lot of Murdoch's "news" outlets are complete bullshit and going elsewhere for their news.
The only things I have an issue with are those I can't remove.
That included the.net extension (not an issue now), that still includes IE and, while Bonjour is removable, it's not as easy as it should be so that's something else I hate.
It's not my fault that the only two things that are/were impossible to remove were from MS. It just proves that their more morally corrupt than other companies. Apple isn't much better but they are better.
This is true and it shouldn't have been done but the fact it can be removed and the source is there for people to do what they want to the whole system does make it easier to live with.
People should still ask them to remove it from the distro but I don't think it's boycott worthy material.
At least the Ubuntu add-on easily uninstalls unlike the.net one.
Both are annoying but one is a lesser evil and while Linux is still primarily a OS for more advanced users, they shouldn't really have a problem with this.
Java looks close enough these days and, to be honest, I don't think people should be that bother about making boring GUIs that are 100% identical to all other GUIs.
Plus, if people wanted that then themes for various programs (and the OS itself) wouldn't be so popular.
The wall street journal will have more stuff worth reading 5 years later. Who the hell will pay to read Fox news' reports on swine flue in 5 years? Who will pay for it now?
Also, the typical WSJ user will have more wealth than the average mouth breather Fox news fan which is why the WSJ model won't work for Fox News.
That's because viewers of Fox news can't tell the difference either and while it's clear which is news & which is editorial, the fact is it shouldn't be labelled as news. It will cause confusion for idiots because they hear Beck or whoever telling them what they say is fact and the person is watching a news channel.
Trust me, I've been unfortunate enough to meet your average Fox new viewer and they are thick as pig shit.
They should have the right to express themselves but, like all freedom, there are responsibilities tied to it and out right lies being labelled as news shouldn't be covered by freedom of the press.
If he wants to spout lies do it under a label other than news.
Why do you need to block ads? Most sites I visit don't have annoying ads. But then I don't visit porn sites (that's what file sharing is for), warez sites or anything else questionable and I don't visit the sort of sites were gullible AOL users are known to hang out. These sorts of places are prime areas to find lame ads.
Rather than bulking out your browser with add-ons to avoid these ads, try moving up evolutionary ladder and quit being a mouth breather. You'll find it's much better.
Only in the eyes of dog owners but dog owners are dimmer than cats. ;)
I'm not saying cats are smarter to dogs. It's harder to gauge their intelligence because they don't really care about pleasing you unlike dogs.
I have a cat & dog. I don't really have a preference. I'm just calling it like I see it.

Yeah and don't forget to ask when your first pay raise is, how much sick time is too much and when can you have your first vacation.

It's open source so sort it out yourself since no one else is bothered about it.

OH NOES, there goes my new DOS project.

Well, at least it no longer overwrites GRUB when installing (or at least Win7 RC didn't do that) - while XP always did.
That's a bug and will be fixed in Win 7's first service pack.
I used to play robotron for ages including the later N64 version.
It's like tetris for robotic death!
Fuck that shit in the ass. I refuse to read something in such a shit layout design for maximum ad views while ignoring a user's needs.
Seriously, 24 pages for 20 nice is a flipping joke.
Might as well, we have to pay for it via the TV licence.

Nothing owned by Murdoch is good. The guy is a fucking cunt.
Then don't do everything in incognito mode.
Don't look at child porn and you'll be fine.
