Microsoft announces they'll create OpenID compatible IDs but not accept them. Thus if someone wants full access to all OpenID sites they have to go through Microsoft and you think this is some how better?
I'm not saying what Google is doing is right but they're just getting to the point where as MS was taking the slow route to the same destination.
Of course but everyone including you and me will degrade as we age. Whether some starts ata higher level or degrades faster doesn't change that. Not degrading would mean immortality.
But that's adding an opinion of your own to a link and not just linking. However if the site or page was called that & that was the whole link text then it's fine, imo. It sounds like he'd probably agree.
Obviously old people can learn things but in most instances their brains aren't as good just like the rest of their bodies. It's called getting old. There is no harm in talking about old people like that as it'll happen to all of us.
And the point is? That still doesn't change the fact that Switzerland is not some sort of murder capital because it has guns and taking the ammo away is just silly when people can easily import guns and ammo into any country if they want to commit a crime.
Being exceptionally anal about the stats just proves I'm right and you really don't have anything else to pick apart.;)
Actually there is no harm and it may result in an improvement in the "main" PHP. If it doesn't then those that want to use the alternative can.
In my dream world PHP would start fresh and quite making lame_method_names() that are veryInconsistent() and just pick one damn format and stick with it.
I'd also like to see -> replaced with . and . should be changed to + or &. Really, if they're gonna pick \ for ease of typing then why are we still using ->?
I've enjoyed using PHP (more so in the past) but it's always looked unprofessional and feels like a chore to code more than the other languages I've dealt with because you either need an excellent IDE or the ultimate memory thanks to its absolute lack of consistency.
I've never fully got into Python as I felt my hands were full with PHP, Javascript and Java but the PHP guys keep doing stupid shit and the more I've gotten into Java the more unprofessional PHP felt and I think this is the straw the broken the camel's back.
I really get the impression sometimes that they're not interesting in making a good language. They're happy with the fact it's an easy language that a lot of web developers use purely because it's easy to knock out a few scripts. I want something more than a language that panders to half-wits.
I'll see how I get on with Python and if, need be, I can always fall back to using JSP.
That is quite a good resource for reporting child porn. It's not Australian but the internet is international so it doesn't matter who shuts them down.
It's everyone trying to express freedom by implying their system is as open as the sky.
The sky is a pretty good representation of computing. From a distance it looks very free, fun and exciting. Then you actually get up there and find it full of limits, might possibly give you brain damage and makes some people sick.
The problem is that stupid have pretty much ruined everything. Maybe we shouldn't really be encouraging computer illiterates to use computers. Maybe we should let them evolve into computer users of fail at life.
I stated western nations for one reason. Everything isn't black and white and while some poorer countries do have citizens with guns that isn't the sole factor. However take a western nation like the UK which has no legal hangun ownership and very little rifle ownership and compare it to Switzerland, Norway or Finland. The UK isn't a bad country by any means (hence the reason I choose to live here) but it's medical care is lacking, the government has more information about its citizens than it should have and while gun crime is low other crime is higher than it should be and in fact it's higher than what the stats say. This has even be admitted by the government recently by saying police aren't logging serious crimes properly. I do believe this stems from a country's mentality about freedom in general and this includes guns.
This is why gun owning countries in the west are generally better off, imo, because gun ownership is a by product of the country's stance on freedom.
However if you want to argue that gun ownership has zero positive affect on the lifestyles in the US, Canada, Switzerland, etc. Then it's not really possible for them to have a negative impact either so there isn't any justification in banning guns.
Imo, Switzerland has the absolute best solution where the citizens are the army and there is no standing army. This gives the citizens a lot more control as they should have in a free society. No I don't think the US' size makes any difference. The land may be bigger but it has more citizens too.
The US government may have nukes and tanks but the odds of a conflict getting so far that the citizens would need more than guns are practically zero and to think that no other country would step in to help the citizens of the US fend off a government trying to nuke its own people is silly. Hell, I'm sure China would help just because it would help handicap the US and further their position as a leader in the world.
I grew up in the US around guns and using guns of all types. There is nothing wrong with them and while it never happened (which is the best option anyway), it was nice knowing that if it came to defending myself I could have done so.
The old saying about giving up freedom for safety applies to guns like any other freedom.
I have a Windows mobile phone as spare and it's not the worst OS ever. It definitely has issues that's for sure and its game support is rubbish.
That said Windows Mobile wouldn't be a bad idea except for that it still limits you. If someone wanted to use MS then do a.net web app. People in general aren't that keen on Windows Mobile on their phone so picking an unpopular OS would limit your choice in phones....unless you do it in Java but then it's not really developing for Windows Mobile.

Their names don't show up on the profile so the only one with clear privacy problems is the single black guy. He should have rethought this one.

Of course it isn't just as telling someone that there is a book that says Hitler is a bad guy isn't saying it yourself even if it's true.
It's informing someone of a resource not defaming someone.

What would be better would be if there is a way for me to report these things to the government authorities easily.

Surely they've fixed the read-only problem with the current version?
Can anyone confirm this?
Eclipse runs like a tired old pig anyway. Get Netbeans.
It's no harder than windows but unfotunately it doesn't simply have a comically large install button and will require some thinking.

Shame it's just an image and not a screencap from a video where they all have massive liquid shits while in that position.
I'd pay good money for that.
Don't get your hopes up because unfortunately they won't be naming it after your mom.
From the instructions for a "build it yourself" tree?

They would naturally use ZFS.

That is correct because it would be dumb to give a child an automatic rifle but they don't have a standing army.

Every man goes into the military and women are encouraged to own firearms.Yes I did simplify it but at least a 1/3 of their population owns a gun.
Isn't the point of a PDF that the font is embedded (at least if it's done properly)?
Now that Oprah has given the go ahead for this I'll run right out and buy one!
