The US has been the largest polluter for awhile. China has only just over taken the US. Where was the outcry about what US pollution is doing to Asia?

What is worse yet, imo, is what western society's computer waste is doing to other countries. It should be illegal to dump that sort of stuff outside of your own country. Then people will think twice about it.

At least entertaining their offer is better than being sued for the URL.

Speaking of Java, I went to the javafx site since its rotating boxes seem to chug in Firefox and aren't exactly that fast in IE either. I was able to flip around the boxes super fast.

This thing just needs some dev plugins now.

Yea because it's all of the sudden going to be 5 times as efficient once it's released. A beta, if things went well, should be as close as possible to the final release. Then again most MS software is released as a beta and then fixed in SP1. ;)

Plain old java is easy, imo. My skills are lacking on the web development at the moment because, to be honest, a lot more goes wrong for seemingly no reason compared to other languages but I shall persist as there are more jobs for that side of java and I can leave the desktop app side as a hobby or for making little tools at work.

Just be aware that people in some countries or areas of countries are less welcoming to Americans and that you will have to expect them trying to get you into heated discussions about American presidents, especially Bush...

I think it depends on how you act and if you're around ignorant people. I've been out of the US for just over 6 years and I've had a dutch man that just won't talk to me because I'm American and I've had a like 3 conversations with drunks in a pub about Bush that had zero chance of becoming threatening.

The whole Americans displaying Canadian flags thing while abroad is just a thing to make Canadians feel better about themselves. In general most people through out the world aren't different enough that they can't get along.
