    All the cheap tacky shit being sold to commemorate this event and the two wars. I am seriously trying to forget the past 10 years did not happen. We would have won by getting back to our normal lives and showing them we won't live in fear of them. Instead we've completely fucked up everything.

    Most gamers you hear are young and probably closer towards being spoiled if not spoiled outright so of course they bitch about things. A lot of older gamers are still pretending they're not gamers and hiding the fact they do it.

    I think that is because despite all the improvements gamers are still lacking in story and dialogue and there is no care about quality. No one talks about a buggy book let a lone a buggy book that sounds like it was written by a 12 year old.

    The Wii was released on November 19th and it was revealed on May 15th 2005 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4557443.stm so Nintendo had this in the pipeline for awhile and this is partially what's wrong with patents. They both hard the same idea roughly at the same time and neither one should have to pay the other just because they got to a patent office first.

    I've a fair few jobs advertised for 6 months or more. They're not horrible jobs and they're for good companies. I can only assume either students feel they should be paid more than they deserve or they're just not good enough to get hired. If it's a money issue this isn't London they're not going to start off on £50k. That doesn't even happen that often in London.

    Pycharm does all that and it's cheap (free for open source developers) and it works on all platforms. http://www.jetbrains.com/pycharm/

    It's best to not be tied to on platform especially with a language that is cross platform and has stronger support on other operating systems.

    Works just fine on Chrome 13 in Snow Leopard. Of course I'll stick with PyCharm or Vim.

    You're also using it for free so the least you could is give them ad revenue and disable 3rd party cookies for tracking purposes and as an added benefit they recognise you're being a decent visitor and allow you to temporarily disable ads. Not that I've even used that because I'm not so against paying for things that the mere thought of an ad on the page ruins the whole experience for me.

    Firefox on my MBP (4 gig of ram) doesn't use half of the memory and my Ubuntu work machine has 2 gigs of ram and there is no difference in performance when I have a ton of tabs open which will include flash apps (NPR radio) and javascript intensive sites (slashdot/ reddit). If you genuinely have problems with Firefox on 4 gigs of ram then the problem probably isn't Firefox.

    Anyone complaining is a tight ass and has no interest in participating in open source to provide either code or even testing for their ancient card. They just expect everyone else to bend over backwards to sort it out for them.

    Those cards are ancient and if there is no one to test them then how do they support them? Are you going to provide testing for them? So you can have 3D in Linux on your ancient card in new linux distros?

    A voodoo 3 card is from 1999 so it's coming up to being 13 years old and it's nearly 10 years since 3dfx went tits up. I'm sure there are a few people using these cards but what sort of 3D do you really think you're going to be doing on a card that old that will require something that old and a new release of any distro?
