No drive has unlimited writes. They all die eventually so the back up plan is the same as before. You either back-up nothing and lose it or back-up often and don't worry if it dies.
And yet everyone pretty much agrees that Flash is fucking awful on Android and feel free to replace any of those ancient utilities either by yourself or by going to one of the many sites with updated versions or even utilities not originally included.
This assumes Via will succeed which even if they have a valid complaint I wonder what will happen when it's clear they're doing it more because of an employee's relationship than a valid complaint.
You could have any phone in an hour but if you want a specific one you are reliant on it being in stock and you don't have your original sim card so either have a different number and start from scratch or wait days for the other sim to be deactivated and your number assigned to the new card and sent out to you and if you're on holiday what are you going to buy a Japanese phone for example? Replacing a wallet and phone with a phone and battery isn't an advance. It's a step backwards.

A lot of the most common words have been trademarked under numerous computer categories so you can't just call it calendar if you want to trademark it.

It's not that it's not a computer but it's pretty low powered and runs on a battery so it'd suck assholes to have to lump anti-virus on top of if or have pick some abysmal app that just eats away at battery life. Neither of those things apply to desktops.
Or your phone gets stolen and you lose all that too. In fact it makes you phone more attractive because now not only is it an expensive piece of hardware that can get someone free calls but it gives them access to all that stuff
Plus if you drop your phone or the battery runs out you're fucked and because Google is handling everything for you the person doesn't have to necessarily be physically near you to steal your data.
I'm not really seeing the benefit certainly not while battery life on phones is pretty shit and security isn't taken seriously by pretty much everyone.

I would also say demand more than money makes a business so creating something for all those crummy poor people to buy is a key incentive for a lot of business. Throwing money at something that will never make money itself isn't a business it's at best a charity.

There are tons of movies about torturing and killing innocent people and the idea that they think doing the same in video games is worse or that we have to be protected just shows the industry's real mentality. They love bragging about how mature and old gamers are now but they still treat everyone like children because that is who they still primarily target because kids are still a huge part of their market and as long as business care more about selling violence to kids and therefore putting certain limits on the violence to make it more acceptable then we'll never progress.
It's great fun. If you don't like it don't do it but they're all the same pixels and it's certainly more respectable than starting wars that are arguably illegal in Iraq.
I killed anyone and everyone with great joy in the GTA games. I would even park motorbike tire over them and then spin out and do donuts on their bodies. Hookers would be beaten to death after sex so I get my money back.

Apple certainly wanted to strike a deal to get the Beatles on iTunes so there must be money there. I think it's more the point that the Beatles aren't exactly scraping by and if Please, Please Me went public domain I don't think Paul is going to have to suck dick just to get a warm meal and if Disney really has nothing better than mickey mouse to keep them going then maybe they should go away.
Whether they like it or not things have to go back into the public domain.
Why don't they just do what they really want and make it so copyright lasts forever. I think they'll know they'll get more opposition if they're honest about it.
