They don't even make sense if you are a mega-corp. Seriously, who cares if it's "kindle.amazon.com" or just "kindle.amazon"? The latter looks gimped anyways.
Nobody is debating that it's occurring. What is being debated is the egocentric claims that humans are significant enough to upset the CO2 balance of the entire planet... while they're releasing measly 0.04% of all CO2 being released into the atmosphere naturally every year... which is what 29,000,000,000 tons of CO2 into 5,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons of atmosphere? I included all the zeros so it's easier to comprehend without doing the math, but that about 0.0000006% of the atmosphere. citation.
Where's the CO2 released from the melting icecaps in that handy diagram? What if it's not an effect, but rather the cause of the CO2 increase in the atmosphere?
Do you happen to have a link to a source of that pre-industrial emission measurement? Before I take the time to research the connection between the two, I'd like to see that it's actually true please.
Exactly! The whole global warming sales pitch is based on the same premise - the fact is they either don't include, or don't have the measurements taken back long enough to see if this is indeed a human-induced problem, or a normal pattern. What have we been collecting meteorological data for a couple centuries now? What if this kind of thing happens every thousand years on its own?
So how is Windows operating system and Internet Explorer browser are "different markets" by that definition then? Because they sure got slapped on the wrist for bundling on with the other...
They may be viewed differently from a security camera, but they are almost exactly the same as those of journalists and paparazzi. This case will never fly in court, because a precedence it would set would destroy the media industry.
That's using one market where Google has dominance and using it to affect another market.
You mean like if someone had dominance in the smartphone/tablet market and affected other markets through bundling native applications and rejecting competing applications from entering their walled garden. Curious.
I concur. If EFF is going to pay my internet bill, or push for unlimited bandwidth internet plans in north America, I will consider it. Alternatively, I will accept free proxy hardware that will allow me to limit and log the connectivity from users outside of my household.
Come on, Landrovers had this on their dash for years, where the driver sees a GPS while passenger sees a movie, on the same middle screen. Way to slashdvertise something...
Exercise in compliance, that's all. You must comply or you will be punished, or at the very least delayed an inconvenienced. It works too - last time I was to the airport, everyone is going through the naked scanners now, without so much as a peep.
The entire domain system should be scrapped in favor of a similar system like newsgroup organization
AOL tried that.

I would much rather they worked with Microsoft to bring native Skype applications to their platform.
Why would they pick someone so irrelevant as McAfee then?

I don't see anybody else dumping billions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere year after year. ... and that "greenhouse" thing? It works.
How about ice? http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/env99/env99424.htm
Or cows? http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/climate-change/cow-emissions-more-damaging-to-planet-than-co2-from-cars-427843.html
I'm sure there's more if you scroll through a google search.

Funny, I thought the two of them were both Fortune 500 corporations.
That doesn't mean much. There are some corporations that are higher than both of them on the Fortune scale, which I'm sure you have never heard of.

I would love to see Google block Apple from their search results and all of their services, but we both know that's not going to happen.

Looking forward to hidden/subliminal mature content being embedded in future Star Wars movies.
The kid is lucky he didn't get tazed to death by RCMP for "resisting", like Robert Dziekaski did in 2007.
oh noes, it appears that I have angered the fanbois with mod points
ikr, doesn't sound nearly as cool as the "retina" marketing term
Yeah, make them reveal how much it costs them to send each SMS that they charge is 15 cents to send and receive (unless we have a "plan").
Is this what happened to the original Shy Ronnie sketch?
