Any song with a tempo of about 100 BPM (that article specifies 103) can be used. Another One Bites The Dust, mentioned by the sibling post to mine, also is mentioned in that article.
BTW:
MC Lars, one of my favorite indies, did a song called "That's CPR" for the American Heart Association as a side project; he talked about how he set the tempo to an even 100 for exactly this reason. (Not bad as far as purposely educational songs go, but I like his regular stuff more.:P)
I suggest that the movie industry, besides making good movies themselves, most needs to improve the big theater experience so as to capitalize on this advantage. Yeah, they often fail to do so.
I should have thought of the concert/bootleg analogy myself; thank you. In general, there's still a little something an authorized version can offer that the unauthorized version cannot; I figure media companies could focus on capitalizing on that.
Conversely, there could be a binding effect from cultural products popular worldwide, such products often but not always being controlled by major media.
In addition to what is usually said about unauthorized downloading on here: Seeing a film on a huge movie theater screen after seeing it on their home equipment would offer a different experience
The difference between a downloaded album and a purchased CD exists is less. (A lossless version of something only available for download - authorized or unauthorized download - in a lossy format, for example.)
Little sense in an unauthorized download of something available dirt-cheap legitimately, and again, thanks to second-run theaters, the difference is a bit more pronounced with films.
I never quite got all the "OMG Megan Fox is so hot" buzz either.
I too have wondered why some guys actively encourage making things more difficult on guys as a whole. Look out for your own kind's self interest, mmkay?:)
Though I shouldn't talk, kinda like this guy: Howard: That dolphin trainer is totally doable. Leonard: Howard, you'd "do" the dolphin.
Yes, for some people, producing the payment itself might as well be rocket science.;)
I hate to be 'discriminatory', but although they aren't the only source, food stamps (now represented in card form) do account for a lot of the slowdowns.
Some filehosting sites harass you more than others in order to try and get you to pay up. I actually kicked a few bucks MediaFire's way because they're by far one of the less annoying. Hotfile is one of the most annoying.
Some people simply prefer one download format over another.
I think MediaFire Pro helps whether the uploader is a pro or the downloader is.
Even with Adblock Plus installed, the downloads start faster because there's no landing page, even an ad-free one. Just goes right to the HTTP download.
Yes, in some ways there are bigger issues, but it's not like they're going to be fixed anytime soon anyways, so might as well clean up stuff like this rather than do *absolutely* nothing. And maybe it will help to have the wedge issue out of the way.
I have heard of the relevant Freudian psychology concept of repression, but it always seemed weird to me that homophobic behavior could always just be handwaved away with "he's really just a closet homosexual himself"
Yes, a lot of places have restricted recruitment activities with the unfairness of DADT as the reason. Will such places indeed find another legal rationalization for their anti-military beliefs?
It does seem to make sense in terms of political tactics to have legislation specifically backing up the executive orders, rather than settling for just executive orders and/or court decisions. (the latter would have fueled rants about "judicial activism", and executive-only could have easily been repealed by the next guy - or gal)
My answer to the DADT debacle has long since been for the US to do what's more militarily effective, whether it's politically correct or not - a less cynical way of saying what you just said.
yes, a specific type of controls that the accountants call "separation of duties"

A slashdot signature I set occasionally; Twitter messages I send all the time. :P
You would think that making use of the enemy country's resources would be another act of war at most, just another drop in the bucket.

I've never gotten caught with that problem - sometimes I see a cashier that's already started closing or hasn't opened yet, though.
Also in the "I hate to be 'discriminatory'" category, BTW: wheelchair users are a big pain to load and unload from the bus
I never quite got all the "OMG Megan Fox is so hot" buzz either.

This is so ridiculous it's funny. :)
USPS does indeed have a one line multiple clerks system, but many people come in without their stuff actually ready to mail.
I pointedly avoid doing this and analogous things at other retail locations.
If there is one line and multiple clerks, sometimes the multiple isn't high enough. :P

I do laugh when I actually see a police cruiser at a donut shop - stereotypes often have _some_ truth to them. :)
I saw a cop stop by a regular convenience store; told him "I'm a civilian, but I do understand the value of having snacks during your shift."
Don't doubt that it happens fairly often, but I wonder if those celebrity incidents are a remotely accurate sample, though.
The post office nearest my house (14610) is used to capacity, perhaps even a bit understaffed relative to the lines.
We fixed that; our language is confusing enough as is.
"The Yanks And The Brits Are Divided By A Common Language"

I'd also rather have gays than have to hand out en-mass waivers to felons.

...piggybacking on militarism's unfortunate popularity, towards better ends
