That's why I started out in TFC, skipped CS, and moved straight to CZ....I loved rockets too:)
Honestly, what attracts me the most to CZ GunGame is that skill with every gun is required and you can still enjoy small maps with alot of people (its harder to do that with rockets).
More importantly the damage feels more realistic. A grenade actually has a 5 foot kill range (in 1.6 a grenade could blow up in someone's face and do 70 dmg), pistol headshots almost always kill the person, the m249 can mow people down and is almost as accurate as a rifle (which it is irl), and loads of other added gameplay attributes.
I also played UT2004 for a long while, and I understand what you're saying. But I feel that smaller player models with small maps and multi-level maps with little 'shrubbery' makes up the true FPS game mechanics. When I tried playing UT recently, it felt alot like I was always so far away, shooting at someone at some ape-like proportioned man, and if you do get close enough for close range combat its alot of spray and pray from 99% of players.
CZ + RH Live's CZ Gungame + CSDM with random spawns + a default map = a type of gameplay that I hadn't loved since Goldeneye was out. And if you have 32 people going? It's epic. Check out the [.icC.] or ZZ servers sometime if you have CZ (its 5$ anyways).
Dumbass. The first half of his reply was great....just what I would have said.
It was his "Disclaimer" that showed him to be nothing but a weakling. If something cannot be changed by the people due to the government, and it is generally disliked by a large group of people, then breaking the law on purpose despite hardships should be his calling.
After all, they don't call people Pirates for nothing. It isn't just a fancy word comparing us to those ship lords. Its how the real people behind this struggle feel. Maybe that's why they called it the Pirate Party?
Rapidshare didn't actively screen their files. most other file hosts do. That's the reason why it's the largest single host of illegal files on the planet.
I wonder what's gonna happen to katz now...gonna seem pretty empty.
I think the main thing that made this news is that it is apparently "unfixable". And the way that it is completely undetectable makes it more troublesome. I'd rather know that MS is looking at some sort of way to counter this issue.
I feel that W7 (and the lack of IE6) no longer makes W7 a wooden house (although IE8 sucks). I look at it as burning down all of the unpatched wooden XP homes and building new W7 aluminum homes ontop of it. Sure, the termites may come back and learn to like aluminum, but it would take them out of their comfort zone.
If W7 ships with some forms of protection already embedded (that actually works), suggesting users to upgrade might be the best solution we have for the "click on the flashing ad" masses. If only they had an easy way to back up their documents and mp3s that is beyond foolproof.
However, the number of possible hacks in W7 and Vista right now that are accessible through exploiting the file types wizard is immense. Ever try opening an.exe with explorer.exe? It gives you a very fun overload method. And you can freely change that without UAC. Same goes for 30 or so other system file types. When I notified someone on technet, they said "you shouldn't use registry files to fix that, you should reformat".
In all honesty, is there a way to lock down a computer from running any programs at all, other than what is on a whitelist? I'd use it mainly for my fileserver that doesn't need any apps running on it besides ntbackup and any windows apps.
I should have added this before, but this is how I look at an anime: If you believe that the voice actor's voice fits the character good enough to make them a believeable character, then there's no difference between this person and a real actor. After that, its how much of the story and overall plot you enjoy, much like going to the movies to see one of your favorite actors.
You could also compare it to shopping for a netbook. While almost all of them have identical features, the one thing that is completely different on every one of them is the keyboard. Once you find a keyboard you like, you can then decide if the computer it is attached to is also enjoyable.
I'd first recommend using MPC-HC (http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/) for viewing the.mkv files that most anime torrents use. Also boxtorrents is a good source of finding quality releases.
I can't give something that I know would definitely please you, as I don't know what type of person that you are or what you like, however I can try.
I've personally enjoyed every anime that had the english dub's main actor to be Steve Blum. He's done voice acting for hundreds of video games and anime, and a few cartoons, like Megas XLR. Look him up on IMDB sometime.
Out of those anime, I can definitively recommend Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop.
He was also in Ghost in the Shell, FLCL, GTO, S-Cry-ed, and Trigun....which I liked alot, but I wouldn't recommend any of them for a first-timer. Akira is also a famous movie he was in, but most newcomers don't enjoy it (read up on the blu-ray restoration process of it to learn that it actually pushes the blu-ray spec to its limits).
I also seem to enjoy William Knight's voice, and they were in alot of the same anime.
In addition to those two actors, some other anime that I've watched and would give an 8/10 or better include Eureka Seven (after the first 13 episodes), YuYu Hakusho (28 episodes for each season for 25$ at Best Buy, for a total of 4 seasons), Full Metal Panic, Gundam Wing (old skool), Gundam 00 (1080i, and subtitles are better imho), and Bokurano (only subtitles available, but a damn interesting plot). But I would still start out with Samurai Champloo or Cowboy Bebop. I should also recommend Deathnote, as it seems to have grabbed a huge following in the US and made alot of fans of anime.
I probably pick half subtitled and half dubbed, but I figure that you would probably enjoy a dubbed series more as a first-timer. I used to run the anime section of tv-links.co.uk back in the day, so if you need any further advice or assistance you know where to find me now.
Most of the names in Eureka Seven were mash-ups of famous musical artists or scientists, so I assumed that when they used Greg Egan it was another mashup. Apparently the real Greg Egan had some input into the storyline of the anime when it came to theories of the end of the world.
And while I'm not a lunatic when it comes to watching anime, currently there are quite a few shows that have higher quality storylines and characters than the normal slop they throw on TV in the US. The mainstream stuff is usually bad, and it gives the genre in general a bad stereotype, so it always pays to find something good.

And that's why GunGame Deathmatch was invented for CS.
No. Not at all.
I'd rather mod you Insightful.
I remember seeing an amazing set of surround sound headphones by GE at CES, and that was 5 years ago. They were never released.
GE makes shit, and then other brands buy it off of them 10 years later.
Thanks! I'll go buy Belkin now!
I've been ready for many years.

wait til a high-end tegra comes out then....

Why not just force everyone to upgrade to Windows 7 and reformat? ;)
the better question is why isn't it on a blacklist?
Yea they must have....I tried searching for it, and it was completely off of the internets...which is impossible.
Thanks for the other tip though I forgot you could do that there.
What if some users need to run these apps, but the main user doesn't?
Or Windows could force you to run everything in a VM.
In all honesty, is there a way to lock down a computer from running any programs at all, other than what is on a whitelist? I'd use it mainly for my fileserver that doesn't need any apps running on it besides ntbackup and any windows apps.
Anything that has a tab on the taskbar. The tray and background processes don't count.
In other words, we'll soon see more apps running as services soon. I bet uTorrent will be one of the first lol

I thought you were talking about Eureka Seven, then I realized that it just used the name of Greg Egan...
Who said that all of the mods and administrators were in the UK?
Indeed, but they did not obtain court authorization to use it against members of video hosting sites outside of the US 5 years ago. They just used it.
I couldn't even grasp your example, because of the words "IE is safe".
You completely lost me after that ;)
